We´re a family of four, 2 adults and twi children who loves to travel and we choose Novotel whenever we can. So when we booked we look at Tripadvisor and found Novotel Paris Porte d'Italie a good alternative, but we were so wrong. The day before we left Novotel London Greenwich so when we stepped into the room of Novotel Paris Porte d'Italie we felt at home. The room interior were the same, the friendliness off the staff in the reception were the same. But then all comparison stops...
First the breakfast! Wow, what at disorganized group of staff, rude and without any kind of supervisor. After about 20 minutes of waiting we got a table for breakfast and finally there we discovered that there were no cups or spoons. We asked the staff if they could help us but the waitress told us tha she was sorry but they had no spoons!?! t the breakfast buffet it was the law of the jungle. They had nothing to select from and several guest had to ask for things like bread, youghurt milk becase it was already run out.
We left the breakfast angry and without the breakfast we paid for. The next day it was all the same, same kind of chaos with the staff who seem to have given up.
The room was something else. The interior was the same as a Novotel in Berlin and London but the cleaning was a joke. Dirty with stains of blood on the sheets. They didnt fill up with toiletpaper nd you had to ask in the reception for more.
The Novotel Paris Porte dItalie advertised with free Wifi. They have but for us with a room on the fifth floor it didnt work a minute. You hade to go down to the lobby to make it work.
So to summon up. This Novotel sets a real low standard for a Novotel-hotel. If you have surfce that looks like a Novotelhotell it doesnt make any diference if you have a hotel that have a managament that doesnt know how to run a hotel, staff is rude and disorganized.
My advise is to find another Novotel in Paris thaqn to stay at this hotel
