“better than we expected”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2014

My husband & I, our son, daughter- in law & their baby stayed here in March during a weekend trip to Paris to visit our other son who lives & works in Paris. We were only there one night but were impressed by the helpful staff, cleanliness & comfort of the hotel. There is underground, secure parking. It was a few minutes walk to the nearest metro station. We had the added bonus of a view of the Eiffel Tower from our room! I would not hesitate to book again for future visits & recommend it to other visitors. It may not be the best location for visiting some parts of Paris, but it is near where our son lives so worked well for us & was great value for money.

I was on a budget late last year and wanted to visit Paris again, and came across this hotel. It was one of the cheapest advertised in the Paris area, and seemed to have okay reviews when I searched it. Location wise, it's slightly away from the main Paris area, but that's easily overcome with a "Visite-Paris" pass which for just under €35, gives you 5 days unlimited travel by SNCF and RER Trains, the Métro, Buses, Trams and the cable cart at Mont Martre. Inside the hotel, the rooms are very basic (I can't overemphasise that enough). Basically what you see is what you get. The rooms comprise of a compact WC/Shower room, a double bed with a single on top of it (bunk bed style), a sink (in both the toilet and rooms), mirror, clothes cupboard and a desk for sitting to write things at. There are no tea/coffee making facilities, so bringing a small travel kettle and a couple of mugs is advised. There are plenty of small supermarkets in the area, but be aware that it's hard to find places open on a Sunday. France is like what the UK used to be before capitalisation took over. The city grinds to a halt and you cannot buy anything. Although the hotel is situated next to the périphérique (a ring-road dual carriageway that goes round Paris), you wont hear it as the hotel is double glazed and thus soundproof. There are vending machines in every hall selling things like sweets (candy) and juice (soda). A bonus is, there's complimentary wi-fi throughout the hotel and it's quite effortless to connect to after registering. There's a courtyard out the back to sit out in when the weather is too hot, but be aware it's a Mecca for smokers. The staff were friendly and there's people on the desk 24/7. A great hotel in general, for the price! Recommended

Room Tip: Skip going to the Eiffel Tower, you WILL wait several hours in about 3 sets of large que's (mass...

In general, the hotel is OK. The room was clean, the breakfast was very good. However the temperature in the hotel room was far too high. The window couldn't open and shutting down the fan didn't bring any relief. The temperature in the hall was much lower, but for some reason, in the room it didn't decrease. At the water from the tap was very much chlorine added, it was not very tasty to drink. Another problem was the not-working internet. There was a connection with the hotel-wifi-network, but the internet failed. The man at the reception said in the evening that it would be solved in half an hour, but in the morning it still didn't work.

Stayed here on a short trip to paris. The location is reasonable, bit hard to reach by public transport without having to walk for about 10min. However it's close to Chinatown. Have not strolled around the area itself a lot as we were there to visit the tourist attractions but it seems fairly safe. The hotel itself on the outside looks ok. The rooms are very very basic but that's to be expected for the price you pay. Perfect hotel to stay at if you're on a budget and will spend most of your time outdoors sightseeing and just need a place to sleep at night.

At first glance I thought this room is tiny. I stayed at the ibis budget oust hotel and those rooms seemed slightly bigger. This hotel has the updated rooms with a double bed, but the triple rooms are the ones in the pictures. One thing to remember on one side of the hotel the window opens but on the other side it doesn't. Also air con only works when the window is shut.
The staff and service was excellent. The rooms where very clean and bright. The beds are really comfortable. The only downside is the size of the room, but after a while it didn't bother me. The shower was excellent too. The tv has hd channels but they all in French.
There are vending machines at reception where you can buy snacks aswell as metro tickets. Oh another downside for some, there was only one power socket. Also if you book more than one room then you can use any card to unlock the rooms.

Affordable hotel in Paris, near to chinatown (within walking distance).
Also close to metro stations.

Breakfast is available for an additional fee.
Some reviewers state that the window cannot be opened. Actually it can, with a tool you that you have to request from the staff.
