Mercure Marne la vallee Bussy St Georges
Reviewed July 28, 2013

Visited here for a couple of nights primarily for its location to Disneyland Paris.

Bussey Saint Georges is clearly a new town that has a feel of Milton Keynes - very straight planned roads with low level apartments.

Arrival very simple, parking is found under the hotel (entrance between the hotel and the police station). Hotel has its own area within the underground parking (via a keypad) so very secure - 7 euros per night.

Reception nice and airy (strange white piano and mannekin!). Staff very welcoming and spoke very good English.

Room was functional, beds were OK. Room overlooked apartments over the road - so interesting views in the morning. Nice shower/bath and separate toilet. Hand/Shower gels held in a wall mounted dispenser (can be a bit of a pain when in the bath).

Breakfast was OK, buffet with a reasonable choice (enough for us).

Walking distance to the RER station for DLP (2 stops about 10 minutes). Hotel backs onto an open space which seemed to be the location for the youth to meet in the evening. First night we went on the RER (all a bit dirty) so second day drove in (again about 10 mins)

The hotel was near to disneyland (one stop by metro). The metro station is 2 min by foot. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff very polite and helpful. And the price per night is very good for a hotel near to disneyland.
The majority of the hotels inside the Disney Park are old, very crowded, and very expensive without a quallity. Are like a mass center.
Tullip Inn is a very sweet, calm, hotel in a quiet location, with a descent quality of sleep (the only thing you need after a whole day in disneypark). I reccomend it for sure.
Don't forget to visit, a perfect brasserie, which is near to the hotel, side on the the metro station.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are nice size and very clean, although beginning to show their age. The staff was fantastic and spoke great English, they made us feel very welcomed. The hotel is located about 2 minutes walking from the RER A station that takes you to Disneyland (€2,40 one way) and to the Paris city center (~€5 one way). Nice restaurant in the hotel, or many nice options around the hotel.

If traveling to hotel from CDG, I would recommend taking the TGV from the airport (terminal 2) to Marne La Vallee, then hop on the RER A to Bussy St Georges. You can get from the airport to the hotel in about 25 minutes and about €20 per person.

A brilliant way to see Paris and Disneyland on a budget. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 3rd floor and liked our location..I'd imagine the higher the better.

Central areas of the hotel are very nicely done, although the rooms and hallways are a bit tired. We were really pleased that they had secure parking (10 euros) but disappointed that on the second night we had to go out of the hotel for dinner as they were only providing food for a large coverage group staying in the hotel. The last thing we needed after a long hot day traipsing around Paris with two small children.

Stayed here 5 days in May 2013. The hotel was really nice, the rooms clean and the housekeeping was excellent. But the personal working in this hotel is what makes this a perfect stay. I was traveling with a blind woman as her assistant and they helped us in every way possible. They made or stay easy and enjoyable with our special needs. They did more than we could expect. Just perfect.

Bussy St George is a perfect place to stay when you visit Paris. It's quiet and peaceful, safe and cosy, and only 30-40 min from the centrum of Paris. The hotel prices here are cheaper and it's only 2 stops from Disneyland. If you go to Paris, stay at Golden Tulip, it will make your holiday better.
