We were looking forward to a relaxing spa weekend and thought that is what this hotel has to offer. We were sadly disappointed and I feel this hotel gets the Novotel chain a bad name.
It is shabby and we paid extra for sea view and we thought terrace and a double bed.
We got a sea view but room above the noisy bar,no terrace, wardrobe door hanging off and double bed just two singles pushed next to each other.
The pool was great but not organised so people swimming across each other whilst trying to avoid kids playing. The spa experience was therefore quite stressful. Plus I do not feel that comfortable wearing a swim hat and speedos ( I think I looked quite scary)
Luckily we had read previous reviews and only booked one night to give this hotel the benefit of the doubt but sadly I totally agree with previous customers. This is a family hotel not a spa resort..
We left and stayed at The Westminster that was 100 euros cheaper and a spa facility that
left us relaxed and stress free.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was first class and the restaurant was fab with a good selection of excellent food that was very palatable and the staff were friendly and nice. The car park was most satisfactory and the hotel is situated right on the beach with stunning views at sunset. the therapy centre and swimming pool were enjoyable and very efficient

The hotel staff was welcoming and friendly. The room was not ready at check in time so we had to wait an hour to check in. So they surprised us by offering an upgraded room with a sea view and a separate (small attached) room with an additional twin bed. Good space when travelling with kids. The salt water pool was great and the highlight of our trip as the weather outside was blistery. The staff was accommodating (for a one day stay) in letting us use the pool with swim trunks since the the boys did not have the speedos and even provided us with swim caps. We hope to return back soon.

Put it another way, if you have room at the back, overlooking the car park and nothing much more, then you can have a fairly average experience. If you are situated facing the sea, you are virtually on the beach. On this visit , the wind was blowing so fiercely that half the dunes were spread liberally everywhere. We have been here in all seasons and it is just fascinating that you can step out of the bar veranda and be on the sand, you could jump ten feet or so from your room and be on the beach. The size of the beach is huge and the tide ebbs out for a very long way.The rooms are comfortable, but simple, the dining room stands over the beach with a very wide view in both directions. The cuisine over Christmas was special and , we thought, very good. The breakfast is buffet style.(a special plea to our French friends running the hotel, please can you make nicer bacon?!!!). Le Touquet is an attractive little town and pleasant to wander around. But something must cause us to make a regular return to the Novotel here. It is not particularly cheap, as many observers have remarked. It is not particularly beautiful, concrete brutal would be a fair description. But it's position on this sparkling sandy beach and the situation that it is only 30-40 minutes from the tunnel and the town has the air of the old British seaside, which in most cases now in the UK ,so many seaside towns have turned seedy and rundown. Not le Touquet, it has retained a well kept and cheerful appearance. The hotel grabs us, we shall be back again, don't know when, but soon.

Room Tip: Pick a room facing the beach, if you can afford it. If you are only there one night, it doesn't matter! Always busy, so book ahead.

I have always wanted to stay at a spa hotel & my partner booked this as part if my birthday celebrations last year. The hotel itself really needs a facelift as others have mentioned but overall it was ok. We had a room overlooking the beach & to wake up to the sea crashing on the beach was wonderful! I had 2 days worth of water spa treatments booked as part of the package which were good but be warned they don't speak English (or pretend not to!) so it was quite amusing at times! The seawater pool, once you get used to the salt, was wonderful altho another warning men will need speedo or similar as no shorts allowed! If you forget don't buy from the boutique, walk into town, as the prices are astromical! We had breakfast which was lovely but walked into town again for our evening meals. I would definitely go back but maybe not for the treatments.
