“Fine food but poor service”
Reviewed June 19, 2013 via mobile

The restaurant is attractively decorated in a modern style, and well situated in the main street of the town. The menu is attractive and broad. We were a party of eight golfers, and all enjoyed the beautifully presented and excellent food. The meat and seafood dishes were all named on the plate! However the slow, sullen, unresponsive and inattentive service rather spoiled the evening, and after being overcharged for two dishes and then clearly expected to leave a big tip, we resolved to leave La Coupole off our dining schedule next year.

“Good food in Le Touquet”
Reviewed June 15, 2013

We enjoyed the set menu at La Coupole. The food was good and presented beautifully - the sea bass came on a plate complete with a picture in oil of a fish. We particularly enjoyed the desserts - the rum baba came with a small bottle of rum poured over the dish at the table and the café gourmand provided six miniature desserts - a great choice for those who can't choose!

“Sorry to say, but very slow service and not the greatest seafood in town”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

At the recommendation of friends, we decided to try somewhere new for dinner on our most recent visit to Le Touquet. La Coupole looks inviting and the staff are very pleasant. However, whilst we booked a table for 8.30 weren't seated until 9pm and weren't offered a drink while we waited on bar stools covered in other diners coats.

Once seated and food ordered it wasn't until 9.45 that we received our starters. To be honest, by that time I was getting too tired to eat. The quality of the food was fairly average. My wife sole had way too much lemon on it so you couldn't taste the fish, and my lobster was very tough, and for the first time ever, I only eat the main section and didn't bother with the best bits, the claws etc.

Sorry, but it was back to Perard for the next night.

“Pleasant and delicious”
Reviewed February 9, 2013 via mobile

I had dinner here with a friend last night, selected 'superior' Chablis at €37 per bottle and one of the set seafood platters. Delicious fare in comfortable a relaxed surroundings. The staff were always helpful and available without being over attentive. Arrived at 7:15 and was busy by 7:45, turning people away by about 8:30. It clearly makes sense to book, if you plan to dine later.
Overall two people dining, with deserts, coffee and Chablis came to €145. I added €10 service, which apparently is higher than locals would usually tip, so a couple of neighbouring tables said, but I was happy with this tip.
