Having recently eaten at The French Table in Surbiton which is quite highly rated we wanted something special in Le Touquet and we found it at Le Village Suisse. Superb food with attentive service during the early courses but which slowed a little as the restaurant filled. We chose from the €52 menu and had great flavours from every course, wine prices came with a reasonable restaurant mark up with Ladoucette Pouilly Fume at €48 rather than £30 at Majestic UK.

We stayed in le Touquet for a couple of days and were a bit disappointed in the number of closed shops and restuarants. Our first evening meal was also disappointing so for our last night we walked all round Le Touquet looking for something that would make our trip worthwhile. Heading back to our car we noticed Le village Suisse. We weren't sure if the place was open as all looked a bit dim but we found our way up the dimly lit stairs and into a reception area. We were shown up a further staircase and into a beautifully decorated restuarant. We were shown to our table and the staff were very attentive. Both my husband and I chose from the a le carte menu and had beef in mushroom sauce. Well the steak was the best I have ever tasted served with fresh vegetables (not the usual tinned carrots and peas) fresh bread as a starter hubby had smoked salmon which was so wonderfully presented. We also were served a delicious almond type of soup, on the house. We couldn't find space to have one of their amazing desserts but from what we saw other guests having we missed out. We ordered coffee which was served with a Tia Maria mascarpone small dessert. All I can say is wow. A bit pricey but well and truly worth it. I would highly recommend a visit.

We had a great meal outside on the terrace. I chose from the 52 euro menu. I had a starter of lobster followed by turbot with figs, from the cheese board I chose some strong cheeses & followed this with a scrumptious chocolate dessert. The amuse -bouche & pre dessert were lovely & coffee ( not included in the 52 euros) came with petit fours & a delightful creme brulee.Efficient & friendly service. The terrace was full with diners which included a large party but the 2 waiting staff coped brilliantly,I would definitely return.

We popped in at the start of a thunder storm without having booked.

The food was excellent, the service attentive and friendly and all reasonably priced.

Highly recommended.
