“Excellent food”

And the service was great - we were the only people in there but it's early season. Definitely recommended for a lovely meal

“Better than average - not quite very good.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2014 via mobile

Teddy bears a little freaky but food is nice but small portions - says Jessica aged 10. Parents view: good food, although who ever suggests this should be a Michelin star restaurant has obviously never been to a Michelin star restaurants. Decor: French provincial twee. Teddy bears perhaps a tad freaky.

“Fantastic food, arctophile's paradise!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2014

On a Sunday lunchtime, this restaurant was packed to the rafters such is its popularity. However, with only two waiting staff, it also qualifies as one of the slowest meals I've ever eaten.

That aside, the food is superb. With two choices of set menu at 27 euro and 42 euro (the gourmet affair...) the food really is worth the wait. My starter of veloute of pumpkin, absolutely delicious, and our mains - mine a mixture of pork and beef, my girlfriend's a steak were some of the best cooked pieces of meat you could ever hope for and of course elegantly presented.

Wine again is expensive in here, but again can be bought by the half bottle which is a bit more reasonable.

Well worth a visit - be advised to book in advance, and maybe for a long meal...

“Should be Michelin-starred”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2013

We ate here last Friday when the meal and the service were absolutely superb. The food was excellent, beautifully cooked and presented. The menu short but innovative and the price very reasonable for the quality of the meal. We were warmly welcomed at "front of House" by the chef's wife who has good English and is knowledgeable aout wines as well.

A real treat and deserving of a Michelin star. Not to be missed!

“Like Food? Then Go To Le cafe des Arts!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2013

Both my girlfriend and I love good food and good wine. We tried to get into this restaurant one evening but were turned away and so we had to book for Sunday lunch!

The lady (owner?) and the chap who does the waiting are exceptional hosts and the food was prepared to a very high standard. I do have one question, who does this restaurant not have a Michelin star? Is it because the food is prepared and presented to such a high standard without the price tag?

Nothing else to say other than beautiful food, beautiful wine and simply fantastic dining!
