“Beautiful Room”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2014

Stayed for two nights in lovely, large & amenity-loaded upgraded room which was perfect. Internet only worked in lobby by front desk. Breakfast buffet was scant & the pancakes & syrup were ice cold. Slow to set out "hot" items. Loved pool, but no privacy in showers and ladies locker room had male attendant. Towels thin & raggedy for such an upscale venue. Enormous up-charge for car service ordered through hotel. Best to have them order a "regular" taxi, although not sure any of the ones in town run on meters...find out cost up front.

I stayed here the night before our wedding to get the best rest possible in this lovely hotel. I had in a lovely ground floor room overlooking the fountain. The service was perfect in all aspects, they took a good care of our car (parked it and took it out in front of the hotel swiftly before the ceremony), my shoes and my shirt were prepared on time in the morning and the photograph was able to take all the pictures he wanted of this preparation room, hotel interior or exterior. Then we moved to a suite for our wedding day in which I got suited with my best man and my brother. Same lovely decoration, superb furniture and gorgeous toile de Jouy in the bedroom, it is needless to say it was the best room i have ever been in my life. We stayed there for two more nights afterwards. The room service is very good as well, breakfasts are without any comparison (best scrambled eggs ever) and the gastronomic restaurant is worth the two stars Michelin. A must.

Room Tip: Rooms with view on the fountain are lovely and very close to the restaurant.

Our driver had suggested Chantilly, ½ hour from CDG for next time we got stuck and a few years later we had reason to book here. No we did not get stuck this year, but after the all night flight decided we would start here before venturing onto Reims and Epernay.
We arrived thru the thick forests lining both sides of the highway when suddenly they opened and we gazed on the magnificent Chateau de Chantilly, which seemed to rival Versailles, and the huge Grand Stables. It was: WOW!!!!!.
The recently opened Auberge, though at the edge of town, is actually part of the estate and its rooms look out on the magnificent gardens. One can access the Chateau by through a private entrance.
Having a room or suite on the second floor overlooking the gardens with a fountain gurgling is truly serene.
I am not certain how I would feel if I had a room facing the street or the rather sterile courtyard.
Breakfast on our terrace gazing at the gardens with the sound of the fountains was special, though they could have provided, without asking, more espresso cartridges.
The rooms are spacious and well appointed, as you would expect from a Relais and Chateau property. They did have outlets on both sides of the bed & the wi-fi was fast.
The staff is friendly and efficient having been recruited from leading properties in Paris
There are 2 restaurant options, and a pleasant bar where we had a good light lunch. For dinner we chose the less formal Jardin.
The waiter dampened the night. There were no butter plates on the table but rolls were offered. When we asked what we did with the rolls he angrily stalked off and loudly returned with plates banging them together with an angry look on his face.
He was right, the round table with four of us was not big enough for butter plates and the serving plates when they arrived but he could have handled it differently The waiter later recovered his composure and was quite pleasant but his snit did cast a pall over the evening.
That aside, it gave us something to talk about, our stay was most pleasant and we will stay the Auberge again when our schedule permits hopefully at a time when it is warmer and sunnier to fully enjoy the magnificence of the gardens.

Room Tip: Ask for one with a garden view

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights in a deluxe room over the bank holiday weekend and we just had a perfect time. Not only is Chantilly beautiful, the hotel on the boundary of the Chateau but it is just an incredibly relaxing and wonderful place to spend time. Our room was beautifully appointed and we over-looked the fountain at the rear. Even though the hotel is at the centre of Chantilly it is really peaceful. We didnt eat in the restaurants but any request was acted upon quickly and with a smile. It was 12EUR per night to park worth mentioning and I'm not sure if there would be an easy alternative.
I cant speak highly enough of the hotel and Chantilly for a great weekend.

It's really best hotel, not only in Chantilly! Very quiet and peaceful place, with friendly and heart service!
General Manager - Pascal Groell, have a very good team, which know their target and who is the guest in hotel.
During 16 days we don't have any negative emotions in hotel.
Recommended for rest, for escape from big city noise and simply as business travel!
Thanks to all stuff, and Adam on reception personally :)

This is a great place to spend a weekend outside Paris. I proposed to my girlfriend during our stay, and I cant think of a better place to do it. The interior of the hotel, service and area around the hotel are just stunning. I also strongly recommend booking a table at the 1 michelline star restaurant, as the food was amazing. The only disadvantage that we spotted was sauna that was no turned on. Great place! Also the town that the hotel is located is nice and romantic, although pretty small.

Room Tip: Definitely book a room with a view over the park.
