across the road from railway station, wlan, tea, coffee for free. Clean and quiet bed, acceptable bathroom facilities, breakfast nothing exceptional but ok.
Alltogether a pleasant stay in an old stile hotel, not the usual boxed rooms by new (chain) hotels.

One of the best located hotels in Kolding if you want to be in the city center near the shopping street, restaurants and bars. Just across the trainstation. It is a very charming old building. I stayed in room number 428 which was really nice and big with visible bars in the ceiling - there was a bit "castle- feeling" over it and this room would be perfect for a romantic couples trip. There was also a nice view from the small tower window in this room. I was told that many of the rooms on this floor were like this. The service was very good and there is free tea/coffe in the lounge area for guests all day - wich is a nice little extra. The breakfast was really good also - there were many choices and also healthy choices like different friuts, vegetables, fish, different kind of eggs and many other things.

Great warm atmosphere in this hotel. Location is perfect, everything very clean and a lovely old building. Without exception all staff were helpful and efficient. Breakfast was excellent, served in a charming room, and with an above average choice of fare ranging from cereal, fish and delicious fresh bread to bacon and eggs. Beds very comfortable and 24 hour refreshments in the lobby a nice touch. Our friends had a smoke smelling room, but this was changed immediately, and they were moved next to us. Their bathroom radiator was next to dead, so a few little tweaks would make this a 5/5. Restaurant was very good too, delicious freshly made pizzas and fair prices. Would not hesitate to return.

Don't know what it was about this hotel but I really liked it, combination of coming in from the cold to a very warm welcome, to a certain old world charm of a hotel that had seen better days. Check in staff was very welcoming and took the time to show me where the hotel lift was and where the breakfast room was located. The receptionist also informed me that there was free coffee available in the reception seating area and that snacks where available (I think) between 18:00hrs and 20:00hrs. Got a really good impression first off. The reception area and side lounge area look relatively new and welcoming. The room itself was pretty basic with a awful bathroom, if design was a option it was certainly missed in this area. The room itself felt clean and tidy but basic. Breakfast was a decant affair in that it had all the components that you would expect from cold cuts to heated beans, sausages and egg. Take the time to look at the pictures on the wall when going up that stairs along the creaky corridors, it is full of pictures of the hotel in its prime. All the staff were helpful and seemed to be happy which led to a really good atmosphere overall. It is a good option if you are staying in Kolding for a few days.

Stayed one night on a business trip. Good value for money. Certain charm to the place. Little bit creaky as its quiet old, but on the whole good for my requirements. Will stay again next time I'm back in the area.
One note: the rooms could do with a minibar. I arrived late and could have done with a soft drink.
Breakfast was ok, service good- food was a little cold.

The best part of the hotel is it is right opposite the railway station. We just had to drag our luggage to the hotel. The hotel is old but quite well maintained. The reception staff was very helpful. There was a small confusion with regard to our reservation but was sorted out without much fuss. The breakfast was quite good with lot to hot variety. The rooms were small but well maintained. The floor creeks because of wooden floor but well carpeted. The best part was the free snacks and coffee/tea in the lobby. Overall a nice hotel and recommended.

Room Tip: Choose the room on the front side where you get view of the railway station.

There are plenty of parking spaces outside the hotel and the hotel is also directly opposite the railway station, so taxis are always available. You can buy a parking voucher at the hotel reception.
We were greeted at Reception by a very nice woman who gave us lots of information about Kolding and the history of the hotel. Our room was very spacious and comfortable.
The hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the main shopping area and there is a very nice lake to walk around close by too. We were only in Kolding for an overnight stopover but I would recommend this hotel and would use it again.

Room Tip: Try to get a room away from the station side of the hotel as thats where any night time noise will c...
