Stayed three nights, visited family nearby. Really lovely hotel, although room for slight improvements.

Positives - Beautiful entrance and lobby; lovely ambience and decoration throughout; smart but cosy feel; room and bathroom a decent size although not massive; tea/coffee in room; large, comfortable bed; bathtub with rain shower; AC in room and good size plasma television with channels in different languages; complementary bottles of water at the end of the corridor (although no where is this information advertised! - we only knew about it through reading other Trip Advisor reviews); nice receptionist at check-in; friendly housekeeping staff; a regular airport shuttle van.

Rooms for improvement - Not nearly enough choice or quality at breakfast for the €23 price; some of the staff were much less friendly than others, and it was a shame to receive cold food/drink service in the bar one afternoon and observe that a few receptionists didn´t say hello; hotel is non-smoking but there was a slight smell of stale smoke in the room; minibar appeared not to work and was empty(?); very little literature in the room providing information on the hotel.

Beautiful hotel. If there had been better choice at breakfast and a consistent level of friendliness, it really would have been little short of perfect! Recommended and would stay again.

Well, let me tell you that i could hardly make myself leave the hotel to go on and explore Brussels-the hotel was so accomodating, the room so nice, the hotel bar and the restaurant so inviting,... I loved the complimentary water bottles in the corridors, nice touch! The brekkie was fun too, overall a great stay, although the reception staff was friendly, the faxes they were supposed to send, never arrived. But, apart from that, no other complaints!

A horrible day at Brussels airport (plane cancelled after many hours' wait, long line to be rerouted) ended on a surprisingly pleasant note thanks to this hotel, where Lufthansa put me for the extra night. A very nice half-chicken for dinner and an excellent breakfast almost made up for arriving home 14 hours late. Nice touch: someone at the reception refused to accept my money for the Internet, saying: "You've been through enough today". Very cosy and well-lighted room, huge bathroom... Well done!

This is a really gorgeous hotel near the airport. Room is beautifully decorated. If you like soft beds, the bed included in the room will please even Sleeping Beauty. Alas for me, I prefer the firmer ones. Excellent breakfast was provided and the staff there were very helpful staff. They even provided complimentary bottles of water, which is most appreciated.

What is now called the Golden Tulip used to be a SOFITEL HOTEL for years. now Accor downgraded it to Pullman and eventually Golden Tulip took it over. Its service generally has reduced. They no longer put complimentary water in the rooms but outside, a long way up the corrider but didn't tell anyone. The restuarant menu has not changed for ages. I think its there since April 2011 at least. They have suggestions occasionally but no imagination. The new Management spent a lot on redecorating the restuarant but left the Menu. Not that its bad, its quite good but regular customers fed up with it. I'd go elsewhere except for the Drivers, Bar staff and restuarant staff who are excellent. Breakfast has gone down hill as well. Less choice and extra payment if one wants anything other than boiler or scrambled eggs

Room Tip: Dpwmstairs, as least one can open the window

We have stayed @ the Golden Tulip for 2 nights and I have to say that the hotel and surroundings are great. All the facilities that hotel has in offer are also great and not too crowdy (or we were just lucky). There were few small things that were not really 100% organized but the service and reception were very king and helpful. For sure will go back there if I will have a chance.

Stayed at the Golden Tulip for 4 nights during a business trip. Hotel was ideally located for the local business. Staff were very friendly throughout the stay across all areas. Food was good in both the bar and restaurant.

English channels on TV was limited and the cost of breakfast was a little excessive (18euro)

Overall - very good and would stay again.
