What a superb restaurant overlooking the River Aveyron. The decor is exquisite and the food sublime with helpful and knowledgable restaurant staff.
My wife and I were not only fortunate to stay in Les Gorges de l'Aveyron Hotel but also ate at the restaurant every night for four nights never tiring of the superb cuisine.
This restaurant is highly recommended.

If you want to enjoy good local food with a nice location along the Aveyron river bank in front of old Montricoux village you must stop and have lunch inthis restautant
The park is huge with parrots and swans and the prices are fine
Choose the menu "decouverte" and begin with lobster then try the fish dish which looks like a pastry and finish with the delicious "crepes Suzette"
The Chablis is a nice white wine to drink
Be careful with the steps near the piano before leaving !
We will come back

we visited this while camping within walking distance. The evening opening at 8pm is rather late for France. The restaurant is well appointed tastefully decorated and has large patio style windows overlooking the river. There was a choice of a set menus - we chose the 4 course 42 euro one. A non alcoholic cocktail was 8 euro but freshly prepared. Service was friendly although the lady who spoke to us in English when we arrived (early) disappeared (the chef??).
The 4 courses were individually excellent - the highlight for me was the Mediterranean "snail stew" but the lamb, tartar of tomatoes and the filo pastry desert were all very worthy of mention. My wife's ecrevisses and her main of chicken were very good too.
A bottle of local wine at 24 euro and the total cost 114 euro. Would we return - you bet one of the best meals in France for some time.

We had a wonderful meal overlooking the river Aveyron (I note that someone commented the restaurant does not overlook the river, I assure you it does, I saw it). The meal was in the top few of any meal I have experienced anywhere, possibly the best,

This restaurant is just across the river from the campsite we were staying at. The view across the river from the huge picture window in the restaurant is beautiful. The restaurant offers a choice of menus based on the number of courses you choose. We went for the 4 course menu at 41 euros. The amuse bouche was a tasty tuna mousse let down by the fact that it was tinned tuna! The rest of the meal was very good. The style is French classical cooking with a modern twist. It is very well cooked and beautifully presented. I particularly enjoyed the cucumber and mint gazpacho served with a skewer of duck pieces wrapped in pastry and cherry tomatoes. The freshwater crayfish served with a fish velouté was also excellent. Service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant doesn't start service until 8pm which is a little later than usual in France. We will definitely visit this restaurant again!
