That's the nickname of this mine cathedral in the suburb of Zwartberg and it is absolutely true. The stained glass windows are made of massive pieces of chrystal by Val-Saint-Lambert. Other impressive elements are the bronze St Barbara Tower with industrious bees representing the miners and the bronze doors. The church tower is a copy of a church in Veurne.
Belgian art deco star architect Henri Lacoste designed the church, but kept it with this project a little bit more traditional. But some details will definitely seduce art deco lovers.
