We stayed here back in 2012 and were blown away by the fabulous roof top spa area . I rebooked for this year taking it for granted that it would still be there . Sadly this was not to be .... they have built apartments on it and relocated the sauna on the ground floor . I was very disappointed . The apartment though was still up to standard .

We spent a week at this hotel for a ski holiday with another family. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were quite spacious, we had double and triple rooms between us and there was plenty of space and they were absolutely spotless. There were bath robes and slippers for going down to the spa which was very nice, although, as with many in the region, you are expected to go naked in the sauna. The food was of a good standard and plentiful. Our dining experience was enhanced by our waiter Akos who made excellent wine choices for us every night. Nothing was too much trouble, Akos was there most mornings and every evening, he was fantastic. Another waiter Nandor was also very helpful and friendly, throwing in a little light entertainment. The only downside was there not being a bar in the hotel. They served a selection of drinks but it was in the reception area or small TV room so lacked atmosphere. There is room to create a bar area which would be great for pre dinner drinks. However, overall it was great and just a short walk to the slopes. We had a fab holiday.

Room tip: Rooms opposite the church have a lovely view but the bells are noisy from 6am!

We spent a week here with Crystal Ski during February half term. It is a nice hotel but in our opinion not worthy of the 4*s that Crystal billed it as having. The rooms are comfortable, clean and generally quiet. We were there on half board. The food was ok, again not what we had been expecting for the 4*s that Crystal had given it. We had a problem with our seating allocation In the restaurant and this was only partially resolved during the week - despite the hotel assuring Crystal that they had moved our table! The waiting staff did their best to be accommodating but it was less than ideal.

We had a wonderful time in Austria.
Erin and Erin at SurvivingEurope.com really helped us out with what to do and where to go on this trip. Check them out and have a unbelievable time abroad! Going to Austria was a little scary for us. We wanted to see things that were not touristy. That is where Erin and Erin really helped with things to see and do. I highly recommend using them for any over seas trips.

Room tip: The rooms here were very clean. We really didn't mind which room we had because the views were very nice in many rooms.

I will strongly advice to stay away from this hotel. On departure they demanded €500 extra for children meals even though our booking confirmation clearly stated that it was included. First they tried to press/trick us into paying extra by blaiming the booking site, afterwards they pretended to reduce the amount on the bill, just to use my credit card information to charge the €500 after we had left, and refuse to return them. I had to get my bank's credit card fraud department to return the money! To be honest I am shocked by the actions of this hotel and have never experienced anything like this anywhere in the world.

Dear AlpenParks guest,

we are truly sorry for the inconvenience, but have communicated to you at check out that the children were not included in the total bill.
You were only charged for a double room, where as you have actually booked a family room (in the booking only 2 adults were mentioned) and as the money was reimbursed you did not have to pay your children.

We are a truly service orientated hotel and always want to exceed the expectations of our guests. Your comment 'of staying away from the hotel‘ hurts us in the core, because it is money related and not a true picture of how we receive, host and care for our guests while they are with us.

Best wishes, your AlpenParks Management in Maria Alm.
