Stopped on route north whilst motorcycle touring with friends. What a fantastic find, beautiful and spotlessly clean. The food was amazing along with the staff who couldn't do enough to help and advise.

This family run hotel, just outside of the village of Vimioso, offers a comfortable and very friendly stay to visitors to this remote region. The rooms are modern, well-appointed and very clean, and include TV, minibar and free wi-fi. The restaurant provides a wide selection of home-cooked food, freshly cooked and very tasty. Breakfast compeises the usual selection of breads, cheeses and pastries, including some home-baked cakes. Perhaps the most charming aspect of this hotel, is the warmth of the service (always good) provided, especially by the team in the restaurant, who could not be more helpful. Overall, if your journey takes you to this region of Portugal, next to the frontier with Spain, we recommend this hotel as the place to stay.

Room tip: A room with a view of the countryside, especially sunsets, is recommended.

A charming little hotel run by a nice couple with two young kids. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, service is friendly. Rooms are clean and confortable with a nice view, with the basic amenities. No luxury but decent and modern. The restaurant is very good, particularly the home made preserves served at breakfast; the "turf and surf board", listed for two, easily serves four people.
Both restaurant and hotel provide great value. The hotel is a great base to explore the region.
