We stayed here as a music tour and the hotel was ideal for a base. The owners were welcoming and all staff polite. They catered for our large party of 46 well and managed to keep the customers, of all ages and dietary requirements, well pleased. The pool is ok for around 10 people at a time and the young people enjoyed the open space around the hotel for games such as football, table tennis and hide and seek!
The rooms were clean, tidy, spacious and well kept.
Salzburg is around an hour away by road and this is a beautiful place to visit. The history of Mozart, the sound of music tour and the many lovely restaurants and bars around the new and old town makes his a perfect place to visit and the hotel is an ideal base to do this from.

Well done to the owners and thank you for making this a memorable music tour for the young people and staff alike

Stayed here as part of a youth music tour of 40 students and six staff playing around the Salzburg region. Excellent hotel, plentiful home cooked food including catering for a vegan, gluten free diet and nut allergy diet. Usual continental breakfast but unlimited amounts. The old part of the hotel has the 'German' style toilet and my room had a poor shower but all others in our party had an excellent shower. The pool was of average size but very clean, good games facilities including a football pitch and games room with table tennis tables. This is an ideal hotel for youth groups, very safe and quiet with friendly staff - highly recommended!

I took 47 students from ages 12 to 18 and the hotel facilities were excellent-lots of sports - table tennis, swimming pool, volley ball, football etc.
The rooms were clean and a good standard and there was ample food.

Room tip: Lovely views from all rooms

We stayed here for 2 nights with a large group of 68. We couldn't have felt more welcome.
The owners are friendly and approachable. The rooms we had were all recently renovated. They were clean and had lovely shower rooms. The food was fantastic - all freshly prepared and delicious.
The hotel is some distance from Salzburg but this meant more space and gorgeous scenery.
Highly recommend.

The hotel is a traditional log cabin style in the Austrian Alps. The hotel is opposite the railway station and not far from the main motorway junction. The owners of the hotel speak great English and are very friendly and helpful. They could not have helped enough. We had dinner from the hotel which was pre-booked and good wholesome home cooked food. Breakfast was traditional and plentiful with great coffee. The pool is outdoor and a fair size and we used it during June. The gardens are large with spacious room and there is free parking at the front of the hotel. We were part of a large group who stayed at the hotel. We had to use the doctor and the owner even took us in her own car even although the doctor is only half a mile away. The walk to the village centre is around 15 minutes. The nearest restaurant and bars are in the centre of the village along with a few shops. The only downside to the hotel is possibly that some of the bedrooms are quite dated. My room was excellent and was modern with a balcony but some of the bedrooms were very traditional which may put some people off. Noise was minimum and relatively quiet. I would definitely recommend this hotel as being charming and in a very scenic part of Austria yet within a reasonable distance to Salzburg.
