“Fun for the entire family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2013

This settlement is staffed with folks who are friendly and happy to share the lives of the folks who lived here over 100 years ago. Many things to do. Really worth the trip. Not for those in wheelchairs as this is authentic and has no pavement. Lots of walking or carriage rides (no extra charge)

“A very nice opportunity to step back in time.”

Everything is well done with a wonderful sense of history. It's a terrific experience for children. School groups from Maine used to visit until the passport requirement made that more difficult.

“Wonderful place for young and 'old'”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2013

King's Landing is a place where you step into a slower paced time. Stroll the lanes or take a horse-drawn wagon, visit the King's Head Inn for a beverage or a meal. There is a working sawmill, printers shop and smithy and all the houses have 'families' living and working there - planting gardens, harvesting, baking, eating etc. The houses are also filled with furniture from the correct periods. Many themed events take place througout the year and people of all ages will find something to enjoy.
Wear comfortable shoes and clothing that you do not mind getting a little dusty:)) You need at least 4/ hours to experience the site.
We used to visit almost every weekend when our children were small and still like to visit now.

“Enjoy this winter adventure”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2013

Maple syrup on the snow and wagon rides. Lots of farm animals. Smores and Deer Meet over the open coals. What a beautiful winter day to go back in time with the kids. Enjoyed the breakfast too. Would love to come back here in the summer. Loved the scene of the frozen mill. Should have brought by good camera. Great singing and interaction for the kids.
