Dined here with colleagues, this is a good Indian restaurant with a a varied menu reasonably priced, the service is good and the seating area very comfortable, there is a relaxed and good feel to the place. The food is of high quality, flavorsome and well presented. You really cant go wrong here if you want a relaxed night with good quality food- well recommended.

I have been here 2 times (i did give it a chance) and both times it was shocking. First impressions are not helped by a musty smell in the reception area. First time the food was bland and cold and the waiter entered his own tip on the card machine! Second time the 'spicy' jalfrezi was not spicy. When i pointed out the spice appeared to be missing, the waiter proceded to tell us (the whole group had the same issue) that we should have asked for it hot. Apparently a jalfrezi is a very mild dish! Best tell the rest of the world! We pointed out this was not the case and he then started to argue the point. We gave up and told them to take it back (evening now ruined by a spotty young waiter) When the bill came they tried to bill us for the returned food, and again add his own tip!! Avoid!! There are so many better Indian restaurants in Bromsgrove, Bujon, Spice Valley, etc..........

If you go out expecting excellent food, served piping hot and reasonable prices then this is a great place. The service is very good, attentive yet not over imposing. The layout means that this is one of the places these days that you can actually have a converstaion. The statue outside makes the place instantly recoginsable. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes indian food. There is aslo ample parking close at cheap rates.

A landmark as you pass through the town is the wooden statue stands outside the restaurant during opening hours and actually the food is very, very good in the Tandoori Indian Restaurant, food wise I think its probably my favorite of the Indian Restaurants in Bromsgrove though I prefer Bujon for the atmosphere and better selection of drinks.

The couple of things I don't like about this place is the awkward seating in the 1980's era wicker chairs as you enter, even when the place is empty you have to sit there and peruse the menu before being shown to a table. Personally I like to be seated where I'm going and relaxingly peruse the menu rather than have to sit in one place, be rushed to make a decision and then have to juggle coat and drink to move. The other thing I dislike is that the only draft beer available is Stella, hardly an Indian beer and the chemical tasting strong larger doesn't really do the food any favors, they do sell bottled beer but that tends to work out more expensive than drinking pints.

Theres a lovely old sandstone wall along one side of the building which is the best feature of the interior and the place is not over lit which is also nice, as stated, the food is very good indeed so I'll certainly be going back.
