We were staying in the travelodge next door so visited the Toby carvery for our dinner.
The outside area has good seating but absolutely stunk of sewerage. Also the tables weren't cleaned and cleared either.
Inside the restaurant was very empty for a bank holiday but it was clean, tidy and the waitress was really friendly.
The carvery itself was "okay"...the portion of meat was more than enough, the Yorkshire pudding was yummy and potatoes were nice but the vegetables were very over cooked and shrivelled.
The area of the restaurant we were in was very hot and even though we asked the waitress to open the door next to us she told us it couldn't be done so we were sweating.
I do think Toby carvery overcharge on a Sunday and bank holidays because the quality is not top quality compared to others I have been to. But it's convenient to the hotel next door. I wouldn't probably visit again unless I was staying there.
