I booked a room for the Christmas period in 2019. In mpMarch 2019 I visited the hotel to see what it was like and to confirm a large party for Christmas lunch. When done I had some refreshments and prepared to leave. I asked a member of staff how I needed to pay for parking. I was informed I needed to enter my registration number into their computer. This I did and I had confirmation on the screen that it had been accepted. A few days later I received a PCN for £100. I contacted the hotel and parking company but neither was prepared to accept my version and insist I pay the charge.
Not surprisingly I have cancelled the Christmas booking. So they made the money for the parking charge but lost over £1000.
