Probably the worst welcome & check in experience I have ever had; and although booking online with Hilton they would take no responsibility for 3 issues with the booking. Difficult to believe that they are part of the same hotel chain as the Hilton at Milton Keynes where last weeks welcome & service was excellent. But then to top it all; even arriving after 15.00 to an almost empty hotel they manage to check me into a room that had not been serviced. At least they then had to accept resonsibility for that and my new room was of a very good size, reasonable facilities (although lacking a laptop safe) and clean. I think their traiining is by Easyjet; as to them included accommodation means the car park is £5 extra and included dinner means the roll & butter are £2 extra, not sure I wish to risk using the soap & shampoo in the room!
Thankfully the Resturant appears to be owned by the very good bit of Hilton; with excellent service & food for both dinner & breakfast.
Have they not heard of first impressions... without which they would be much higher in my overall ranking.More
