“As good as it gets stunning cottage in ideal location”
Reviewed January 8, 2017 for a stay in December 2016

Fab cottage with fab owners who help as needed. We loved our stay watching pheasants running around kicking up frost and being in a beautiful rural location. There are steep stairs and as others have said a squeaky bed but it was perfect for us. More spacious than the photos indicate

“Homely place to stay”
Reviewed September 4, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We stopped here in August and had a wonderful holiday. The cottage was as described and was very comfortable and was steeped in history with original beams etc. but was modernised to an excellent standard. The only downside was the bed creaked whenever we moved and as we are light sleepers it woke myself and my wife up but having said that it did not spoil what was an excellent holiday. We used the cottage as a base and went to London, Thorpe Park and Chessington. It was lovely and peaceful on our return after some very busy days and it was a place we would highly recommend.

“Lovely cottage in a great rural location but with easy access”
Reviewed June 22, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Spent my birthday weekend with my partner at the cottage, was perfect for what we wanted. Great walking in the woods and fields, comfortable furnishings with all the mod-cons. Easy access from the M25. We will definitely be back!

“Beautiful cottage in beautiful setting”

My family and I stayed in Colette's cottage in July. We really enjoyed our time there. The cottage is lovely - practical while being idyllic. The kitchen area is small with a microwave/portable oven and there is not much space for a full shop, but we were fine with that for the week and we are a family of four. The countryside is stunning and we enjoyed our walks around the area, including the back of the estate. Effingham junction is about 30 mins walk from the barn, through fields. Again a lovely walk, which we did not mind, but it is country roads in the dark that you are coming back to if you are out later, so take a torch. Colette was very helpful and very discreet and I have no hesitation in recommending her cottage.

Cottage itself good combination of historic barn conversion but with the essential mod-cons of flat screen TV and wi-fi! Ideal location too: peace and privacy of being at far end of farm track, but only a few mins drive from Cobham supermarkets and other amenities. Also quick and easy access to M25 so no problem visiting places further afield. Thorpe Park and Chessington within easy reach. If going into London would recommend driving to Surbiton then using visitor Oyster cards to catch train to Waterloo. Only downside is that the sound of talking or tv in the upstairs living area comes straight through the floorboards to the downstairs bedrooms, but this is only likely to be a problem if you have noisy teenagers like mine who stay up too late!
