“Lovely walks for dogs & humans”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2014

Excellent woodland walks - hard paths are a boon as our older dog needs a pushchair nowadays. Good for bird watching too. Flexible venue - worth visiting for a quick walk with the dogs or a fun day out. Only problem that we find very annoying is the strange aversion to dog bins around the courtyard & car park area so dog walkers can clear up and keep this area clean. We've asked staff about this and apparently it's too expensive and/or too much trouble for them. It would make life easier for visitors though.

“great day out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2014

Great day out for all ages bikes for hire, good walking on hard paths so good for prams and wheel chairs, cycle paths, bird hide, cafe, good parking reasonably priced, very good play area.
only down side was there were no dog bins and as dog owners we always clean up and could't flick it into the undergrowth as recommended as result there were alot of dog poo bags left lying around.

“Fineshade Wood well worth a visit.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2014

Plenty of car parking, good clean facilities and a nice cafe. The woodland walks are very good and a nice place to take your dogs. Just be careful as some owners are a lot silly, letting large dogs run loose and then saying 'Don't worry, they don't bite.' Apart from that, which you will get anywhere, it really is a lovely place to visit for a short or long walk. It does get busy at weekends but fairly quiet during the week when the kids are at school.

“Hidden Gem!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2013

From the A43 you simply would't know this place existed but we visited for a family walk with the dogs and was extremely happy with the facilities. The car park was busy but still plenty of room (£3/day seemed reasonable), Cafe was nice but large queues around midday. The woods are wonderfully managed and beautiful to wander around, and the dogs LOVED it! Plenty of space to not be on top of each other (especially with dogs and bikes sharing trails). All in all we had an amazing day and will definitely be returning. Do pop in to the Royal Oak at Duddington for a bite to eat after your walk, lovely open fires and real ale!

“If you go into the woods...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2013

I love to wonder around in woodlands... and here your free to do just that. There are predefined routes of various lengths for you to follow. And a nice cafe at the end for refreshments. Parking can be a bit of a pain of it's busy.
