My wife and I stayed using a Groupon offer. In terms of value for money, I couldn't fault it. The hotel was very clean, the rooms were a good size and well equipped. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout.
My only negative point is probably about the food. Our Groupon voucher included an evening meal and I suppose we had visions of a candlelit meal in the hotel restaurant. The menu was probably much plainer than we imagined - perhaps more of what we might have expected from a pub lunch rather than fine dining. But there was certainly plenty of choice (we are vegetarian and still had plenty to choose from - meat eaters would have a great choice including burgers, steaks, curries and much more). The service was very good - friendly and attentive throughout, and the food was very tasty - so we still had a great night. I don't think we'd go back for a romantic break, but if we were in the area again and wanted somewhere clean and friendly to stay, we would certainly return.

I stayed here for two nights from 5March to 7 March. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Check in and out was very quick. My room was on the ground floor facing out to the back of the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable with a fantastic shower in the en suite bathroom. Terrific breakfasts were served each morning with loads of choice available. The price was very reasonable. I will be staying here again when in the area.

Room Tip: Request a ground floor room facing towards the back of the hotel as the road outside at the front ca...

My partner and I stayed here for one night, it was a special offer booked through Groupon.
We were welcomed by a warm & helpful receptionist. Check in was quick & easy. Our room was on the ground floor, clean and well equipped, a huge bed which was very comfy. Only slight niggle was the lack of net curtain so we had to have the black out blind down, our view was over the rear carpark ....... But we weren't there for the view so this wasn't a problem.
We ate in the restaurant and although the menu wasn't huge I really enjoyed my king prawn starter and sea bass main. The breakfast was fab, a large selection of hot freshly cooked food and continental choices with coffee and tea served by friendly waiting staff. I would like to make a special mention of our main waiter Fungai, he was attentive without being over- bearing, friendly and always smiling !
The weather wasn't great for us but we found a shopping centre close by and gave ourselves some retail therapy.
I would definatley return if another special offer was advertised :-)

Dear Annacee,

Firstly may i thank you for your very kind feedback, i have taken the liberty in sharing this with the team, especially Fungai.
It is always nice to recieve positive feedback, and being able to feed this back to the team. It has a profound effect on those who have been recognised personally, and for this i thank you.
We are continuously looking at ways to improve our product, not just in the fabric of our building, but, also in offering such great deals - the groupon deal is still live and can be re-booked if needed.
If i or any member of my team can be of further help please feel free to contact us here at the hotel.

Regards,

Jerrod Latham

All in all a pleasent hotel with friendly staff.
Room was a decent size with big comfy bed.
Great shower.
We stayed here for a quick getaway for my husbands birthday on a groupon deal. Reasonable deal.
Only negative feedback we could give was the radiator in our room kicked in very loudly pretty late @ night which gave us both a fright, and also we had a very limited menu for the groupon deal which we were slightly disapointed with.

Dear Collette,

May i firstly thansk you for taking the time in writing a review.

We have reviewed our heating since that weekend and have made what i understand to be sufficient changes to the system to stop a re-occurance.
Our Menu Choice at the hotel for our Group-on guests is our normal Restaurant TDH (which changes twice per week), as our Restaurant team would not be able to ditinguish between our many varities of guests using the Restaurant and Bar.

I again thank you for taking the time in writing and should i or any member of my team be of any further assistance in the future please feel free to contact us.

Regards,

Having hunted around on the internet for somewhere to go for a last minute weekend break I finally picked the Best Western over another hotel in the local area.

On arrival the hotel was clean, tidy and well presented with ample literature on the local area which came in handy for the following day.

The room was well appointed and clean with plenty of towels and freebies. The bed was extremely comfortable and we both had a good nights sleep with no interruptions.

The 'rain shower' was great and would love one at home now!

All in all, a great hotel which offered superb value for money and in a good location to explore the local area. Highly recommend driving through Rockingham, turning around and seeing the castle from the bottom of the hill up...

Will visit again in the summer.

Had a very good value 2 night package through Superbreak including bed, breakfast, dinner and dancing 1st night and then the New Year's Eve Buffet ( food was ample and well presented ) dancing and disco. All good fun, catering to the more mature guest, the function room was packed and as a couple we were seated on a table of 8 who were all locals and this was the 3rd time they had booked for New Year, which is a good sign. As Corby has a large Scottish community there was definitely a real " Hogmanay " feel about the proceedings with haggis, neeps and tatties on the menu and a piper playing a whole rendition of the Highland classics guaranteed to get your hands clapping, your toes tapping and your throat warbling !!.
The hotel itself was fine, rooms clean, beds comfortable, ample free parking,Staff were friendly, Clare on reception was helpful when we changed rooms and as a Best Western Rewards member was efficient when we checked in/out.Would recommend for New Year package as a couple or group or other " themed week-ends " they promote.

Room Tip: Ground floor if mobility issues
