“Wonderful place to stay”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

We arrived fairly late in the day looking for accommodation. Some kind person suggested we stay at the Premier Inn which was not that far from where we were at the time. We were offered a room upstairs but it would not have been ready for an hour or so, so we opted for a room not far from reception downstairs which was ready for guests. We were looking for an overnight stay. Couldn't have worked out better for us. Very reasonably priced, the staff were EXCELLENT, our room was spacious - dinner and breakfast was arranged in the adjacent restaurant and could not have been better.
Overall I would really recommend this particular Premier Inn, unfortunately for us our stay was too short.

Room Tip: Our room was not that far from reception, (ground floor) but certainly no problems with noise or oth...

We didnt stay here but we did eat breakfast. It was perfect. Lots of choice, good quality and great staff. The kids ate free and we paid £8.95 each which is outstanding value when you have four kids!!! We'll definitely go again.

The access to this premier inn could leave you with a poor impression of this hotel as you drive past some disused buildings. However being from this area, we knew this and if you ignore this the rest of the hotel itself is very good with plenty of parking. It is in a good location being no more than a few minutes walk to the shopping centre via the underpass accessed by walking up to the restaurant and following the path which goes past it. Keep going straight ahead until you see the shoppers carpark where you go right then left through the carpark to the shops. The rooms were well maintained and have been refurbished with large flatscreens on the wall. As is common with most other Premier Inns, the staff are very friendly and helpful. We did not eat in the restaurant as there are many others offering better quality and value elsewhere in East Kilbride.

Room Tip: Creaky floorboards mean a top floor room is best

I was very impressed with the comfort, security and friendliness of the staff - being an economy chain I didn't have very high expectations but was surprised at how good everything was, the rooms were very clean, great bed & linen. Ideal for business .

Very easy to find and from first impressions looked like every other Premier Inn, although the area it's in is very run down.

Room has the new layout, clean and everything as it should be.......but it this is the first Premier Inn we have been disappointed in. Stayed in Rm18 for 2 nights while attending a Family Wedding but didn't get much sleep as the room above has a very noisy floor. Heard every foot step from the occupants on both nights. The rooms are not that big so why did they have to walk around the room until 0230hrs BOTH nights. Informed the Night Porter the first night who went to ask them to settle down, second night could be bothered getting out of bed and dressed to go to Reception again to say the same thing to the same Night Porter.

Informed Reception on check out, who said that no note had been left about our complaint from the first night but she did say that they are aware of this issue in Rm18 'as it's an old building'

Didn't ask for a refund under the Premier Inn 'Good Night Guarantee' as we didn't need to, Receptionist did it with out being asked.

Couldn't get on to then WiFi either

Room Tip: If you get allocated room 18 ask for a different room

From arriving at the hotel until leaving the staff were exceptional. The rooms were large, very clean and the bed is one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The room was very warm and you couldn't turn the heat down, however there were windows that could be opened. The receptionist on duty (Janice) was very very helpful. As we couldn't get a table at the Beefeater restaurant across from the hotel, she organised a table and a taxi at a nearby restaurant for us.

Room Tip: Room 20 faces the restaurant, which is a lovely looking, quaint building.
