I stayed here as part of a business meeting also held at the hotel. As this took place in January you might expect the hotel would arrange to have the heating on - but no! Both the large meeting room and smaller rooms were absolutely freezing - and not just first thing in the morning. The hotel staff informed us that the heating system is sensitive to movement and if none is sensed then the heating goes off.
The rooms were comfortable and about the same size as a travelodge with slightly better bathrooms. The shower was the highlight of the stay. The beds are very comfortable providing you like very soft pillows. The web site mentions bath robes but there weren't any in anyone's room.
The bar is quite expensive - wine at £9.50 per glass shocked everyone in our group.
The customer service varied with a reluctance to allow us to to either check in or leave bags at reception - surprising as the hotel was quite empty, it was January and we were a big group on business and therefore paying a substantial amount of money.
Forget your mobile phone - the signal is very poor with no reception in any public or meeting rooms - and some people had some reception in their rooms and others didn't.More
