Reasonable pub for the football and a few beers with the mates. Not one to take a potential date or someone you're trying to impress. Probably not a suitable one to bring Granny or Granddad either; it sits slap-bang in the heart of Bracknell's Crown Wood, so expect the language to be a little blue, especially on a Friday and Saturday night. It's a typical Greene King offering and quite well managed. Whilst the menu is never going to bring Michel Roux out in a sweat (offerings include "a pint o' onion rings" and a "hunter's chicken burger), it's obvious the type of market this pub is gearing itself towards. And that's not a problem. Oh, and you can even get a "pint 'o hash brown bites." What isn't there to like?
The location is quite sound and there's a kebab van out the front most days! The prices are all generally reasonable, there's a few pool tables out at the rear and the staff are generally friendly enough. Solid Bracknell pub.
