Go Ape was very different to what I expected. I assumed we would be lead around the obstacle course by an instructor and you would spend a lot of time waiting for everyone in your set group (up to 16 people) to complete each obstacle. However it was nothing like that! The group is given very clear instructions on how to use the safety equipment and approach each type of obstacle and then you are free to start the course as an individual, responsible for your own safety and how you tackle each item. There are a range of rope bridges, zip wires and other obstacles to challenge and amuse. The course can get a little congested but everyone was very patient waiting for the next obstacle to clear before giving it a go. The staff were very friendly and the facilities were great, I thoroughly recommend it.
Top tips – bring £4-6 for parking and bring a change of clothes, you’ll be covered in saw dust and bark from the zip wire landing zones.
