Whilst it was school holidays and there were far more children at this resort than we expected - it could not have been any more friendly, relaxing and enjoyable a place to have a holiday.
All the staff we not only welcoming but also extremely professional and friendly.
The apartments were fabulously appointed and whilst the birds early in the morning were not always welcome the ability to roll over and wake later solved this problem. Sitting quietly on one of the balconies, listening to the various frogs and birds was one of the most relaxing times but was not outdone by cocktails on the deck at happy hour!
You are a little bit out of town but with the restaurant providing a full day / poolside service and the shuttle into town available this is not an issue.
As for the spa treatment. This was one of the loveliest I have ever had. Cannot speak highly enough of the experience!
Will definately return for more of The Byron at Byron.

Room Tip: Go for a superior suite as it is closer to the resort facilities.

The Byron at Byron Resort couldn't have been a more perfect place to stay in Byron Bay! My gorgeous suite was like staying in a stylish Japanese Treehouse, so peaceful & well appointed. And the staff were so welcoming & attentive to my every need. Can't wait for my next visit!!

My friend and I visited The Byron at Byron during the Australia Day weekend this year which was when Byron received more than 300mm of rain in a day! Nevertheless we still had a fantastic experience at The Byron at Byron. The location is absolutely stunning and the rooms set amongst the rainforest are beautiful - it was lovely listening to the rain falling down directly outside our balcony. The staff also need a mention as they were some of the friendliest staff I have encountered! I do think the spa treatments are very overpriced but all in all, a fantastic experience.

Upon check-in we were impressed by the friendly helpfulness of the lady at reception Cee Cee I think her name.
We hopped on a golf cart to go to our room, we had a Deluxe suite booked, from the outside they look very strange, a bit like a container boxes stacked up.
Inside, WOW! They are gorgeous, great use of space, extremely clean, comfortable, every amenity available. My daughter loved the oriental feel of the room and décor.

The grounds are surrounded by rain forest with a great boardwalk, the walks are very beautiful & peaceful, there's stream's and small pond's everywhere. It ends with an open area overlooking an estuary with plenty of birdlife. We were lucky enough to spot swamp wallabies, and a gorgeous bush tailed possum one evening, we also saw huge flying foxes.
The boardwalk also leads to a path which takes you to Tallow Beach about 10mins walk.

The resort has a lovely pool area with amazingly comfortable 'day beds'. You can also have lunch, snacks and drinks by the pool, the waiting staff are friendly & efficient.

We decided to cater breakfasts ourselves rather than eating over at the restaurant, (Try Suffolk Park Bakery - great pastries & Coffee only 5mins ) the small kitchen area is fine for doing small meals, but we did eat at the restaurant one evening & had a very nice meal & wines, the service was good.

Sadly we didn't have time to take advantage of the spa facilities so I cannot comment on them.
I found the lady in the gift shop very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Deluxe suits are very good

We stayed at The Byron for a girls long weekend. Amazing service, the staff especially Heath were very friendly and welcoming to us. Room was clean and the tropical setting was lush. I would recommend ear plugs for the night as the bugs are very loud! That's the price you pay for staying basically in a tropical jungle. Can't complain about anything else. Pool is beautiful and it's a safe and relaxing place for families too. Would definitely return.
