I'm a big fan of Thai food and this did not disappoint. We opted for the Banquet menu and I can safely say we did not go hungry...

What was great about the Banquet Menu though was the fact we could try a bit of everything, it had alot of variety and we tried things we may not have tried if picking from a menu. (The fish salad during the starter was really great)

This restaurant has great service unlike many places in Malta and has a great ambience. At the Blue Elephant its more like an experience than a restaurant.

They had an extensive wine menu and had one of my favourite Rose wines "Beringer".

Overall the Food, Service, Setting, Value was in a league all of its own.

Shall definitely be going back soon.

Delectable

Ever since my trip to Thiland I have been searching for the perfect Phad-Thai - like the one I had there - I found it in this restaraunt!!

The decor is just spectacular, with koi fish, orchids everywhere, and a waterfall and bridge right there in the restaraunt.

The food and service are 5 star.
It is on the pricy side - but most defiantly worth it!

Don't miss out on the Phad-Thai!!! The cheesecake is special and light, and defiantly order one of their fun cocktails :)

arrived at opening time (table booked for 1900) which I would recommend as then you can get a nice table outside overlooking the marina. Décor is very Thai and the restaurant seems to take up the whole 1st floor of the hotel. Service was very good - polite but not overbearing and the food was excellent. Overall a real nice all round experience - we will be going again before we head home.

You'll be surprised by the warm welcome and by the friendly staff. If you choose to stay out you'll have a splendid view of the marina but you'll share the view with a bunch of hungry mosquitoes. The Thai food is excellent and well served. The wines are quite ok. Take care not to get there if you're not hungry as the portions are huge. Overall it was a perfect evening and an experience that we'd like to repeat.

Having spent a fair bit of time in Thailand a visit to a Thai restaurant has to be very good to get a decent review from me. Blue Elephant ticks all the boxes in terms of decor, it is magnificent. However, the food is a mixed bag, some good and some average. The starters were good, satay nicely cooked and the sauce excellent. Spring rolls and dim sum fine. Thai fish cakes, too rubbery. The mains, duck was horrible, chewy and tasteless, beef was good, had a good taste, chicken was well spiced and the best of all the lamb masamam curry (this was amazing). Service was chaotic but that made it feel more like Thailand so no problem with that as they were very friendly. I would guess there are better Thai restaurants in Malta. It's not cheap either.
