“Crowded and loud”
Review of St. George's Bay

St. George's Bay

Nice waters - clear and cool. The beach however was crowded, full of really annoying tourists and locals playing music loudly, squirting strangers with water guns and kids doing the same, running around kicking sand in people's faces etc. This put us off the beach and we only went twice even though it was only round the corner !

St. George's Bay was a true disappointment. A tiny artificial sand beach is probably the only such beach around Valetta. Therefore it is overcrowded even in the shoulder season. I wonder, what it might look like in the high season. In spite of the Blue Flag award, rubbish is plenty and blown by the wind. Water quality looks good, but plastic bags in the water spoil the joy of bathing. Those who are looking for true golden sand beaches should go elsewhere.

the only sand beach in saint julian's, the st george's bay it's a very crowed place during the day, but in the evening there is almost nobody. here i used to sunbathe, and also to get drunk. Twice i spent the night here in the water with friends waiting for wonderful sunrise you can admire. all the restaurants and main services are near, but as i said, too many people are here in summer. try to visite also the others beautiful beaches of the maltese island!!
