“Without the Hard Rock Cafe there isn't much there.”
Reviewed September 3, 2011

My wife and I seen promotion material for Bay Street shopping centre while in Valletta. From the marketing material we thought we were missing something amazing. Since we were staying in Sliema it was only a little walk to St Julians. Please note it is actually the far side of St Julians and quite hard to locate. Signage is non existent, and with several strip clubs to pass on the way it's not some where to walk with your family. Once we found it we realised it had some key stores, but most nothing you could find better at The Point or in Valletta. The only real highlight was our visit to the top floor and lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe. Super staff, good food and first class experience. However a good of the mall is cheap and tacky, especially the ground floor. Lots of old tack you'll regret buying if your foolish enough. Without the Hard Rock Cafe it would have been a real waste of the day. Passing back through the clubs and then the strip clubs, it was hard to understand why they had been zoned so close to a shopping centre. I certainly will not be back at Bay Street shopping centre. The Point is a much better choice, and for greater variety there is Valletta.
