We loved our stay in a Deluxe Room at the Hotel Juliani. Fabulous views of Spinola Bay from our balcony. Clean nicely appointed room, lovely roof top pool and great location with buses just outside the front door.

I took my fiancé here for a surprise birthday treat. We absolutely loved it and wouldn't hesitate to go back again.

It is situated in Spinoa Bay which is right opposite the road from the bus stop if you catch a coach from the airport. There are many local restaurants where you are spoilt for choice but the hotel has its own renowned Zest restaurant which we ate at on our second night.

The room we stayed in was the Ambassador Suite which was huge! Very clean and didn't hear too much noise considering it's located on the main road. Lovely view from our balcony and we enjoyed the rooftop swimming pool.

The Zest restaurant serves amazing food with a great ambience. Definately eat here for a special treat, everything off the menu is really good. I had a Thai curry which I thought was amazing but my fiancé had Mongolian beef curry which was just incredible. Local white wine is lovely although it was €10 more than their sister restaurant across the bay? Staff in both the hotel and restaurant were lovely and very accommodating.

Overall, fantastic stay at Hotel Juliani and I would definately recommend it. We also like our little present that was left for us in our room on our last day.

The hotel was brilliant as well as the location. the breakfast was particularly great. The choice of food was vast, from hot, cooked food such as bacon, sausages and eggs to cold foods like cereal, fruit, yoghurt and cold meats. My only complaint would be that the staff (particularly at the check-in desk) perhaps could have been more friendly. My girlfriend and I exploited the free film service only to find that the DVD player must have been faulty because they seem to stop half way through. When we confronted the staff, they seemed unbothered and apathetic. On top of this there were periods where the shower would shift from warm/cold to steaming or scolding hot which was quite unpleasant. Otherwise our experience was fantastic and I would highly recommend it to anybody who are looking for a leisurely and relaxing stay.

This was our first trip to Malta and after a lot of researching on Tripadvisor we chose to stay at the Hotel Juliani in St Julians. We were NOT disappointed. The service extended to us was exceptional, nothing was too much to ask. We arrived on a very late flight and they arranged for transfers from the airport, arriving at 1.30am we were greeted warmly and shown to our room. Our room had a fabulous view of the bay from our private balcony and was clean, spacious and extremely comfortable.

All the staff from maid service to bar and restaurant staff were friendly and accommodation but a special thanks goes to Caroline who looked after us helping with everything from transport options to dining and laundry. Breakfast was included and we made use of some of the facilities including the pool and bar areas, all were great.

I\We would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the bay. I can't remember our room number but I believe that all of the rooms overlooking the bay had a private balcony.

The Juliani lives up to it's characterization as a 'boutique' hotel. There aren't a large number of rooms, but the hotel has all the amenities of a large hotel. The staff was courteous and usually very friendly. Rooms were comfortable and modern. We were on the 8th floor, away from the road and had no trouble with noise. The roof top pool was great, being both a nice place to get some sun, and a great view of the bay. Breakfast was good with a good variety of food and some Maltese specialties that were delicious. We were allowed to use the pool towels when we went to the Blue Lagoon in Comino. It's a bit pricy but you get what you pay for.

St. Julians is one of the more popular tourist spots with a number of restaurants nearby as well as all the shopping you need in the nearby St. George Bay Street complex. The Plaza Shopping center and Bisazza Street in Sliema are only a 20-30 minute walk away..

There's parking at the hotel but the traffic in Malta is horrendous given the narrow roads, wide busses, lots of cars and scooters, and left-side driving.

Check the hotel's website for deals on longer stays, airport transfers, etc..

The hotel is right across the street from the bus stop but traveling by bus has its issues. See my reply to the post on Public Transport on Malta and Gozo, http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g608948-i11647-k7564525-Public_Transport_on_Malta_and_Gozo-Bugibba_Island_of_Malta.html#59388464.
