Though Maltese, I live in Spain, and I must say, that on visiting this restau-bar I almost felt like I had to take out my passport. It truly is like entering a typical "local" spanish bar. The bar men and owners were the whole spanish package - spanish nationals, spanish language, spanish attitude, spanish service without a smile. These might not be considered part of a good service, but if you are looking for something authentic... then that's what you are looking for. The place is also full of spanish people! Great for you to practice your spanish...

The place serves tapas like many spanish bars although I must say the quality and quality was lacking. This could however be perception since the tapas are served in pretentious modern (large) bowls/plates, and designed with some food art. This I think builds up one's expectations for refined and abundant food, when in reality tapas are generally simple bite sized nibbles.

It's a great place to watch football games (I counted 3 wide screen tvs)... especially spanish games (they are real Madrid fans)... It is quite interesting to be there during a game between arch rivals - Barcelona and Real - as I have. It was all civilised just the same.

I think space could/should have been used more efficiently, and that possibly tables, on a packed night are limited to people eating. We ended up eating standing up while boozers were sitting down - at a nicely laid table I might add.

Average rating? Well a typical bar is generally your simple average homely bar. That is what this place is. Do not expect great service, clean toilets, high class interior design, etc.

Finally for tourists - great if you're staying in the vicinity... walk it. If you are driving. Paceville is a nightmare for parking. Give it one go, and if you dont have any luck, then park at the hilton. The younger generation will find this place as having a perfect location - as it is bang in the middle of the main night life area in Malta.

Nice Spanish bar. Food diisplayed as you go in. Good choice of drinks and indoor/ outdoor seating areas.
Letdown by the fact that both toilets had no soap or hand drying/ towels so had to ask staff for them. Which begs the question " what do the staff use to clean their hands before serving you" !!
