“Great food, atmosphere and service!”
Reviewed December 3, 2013

Stumbled upon the Dubliner entirely by accident while wandering around St Julians and what a find. Girl behind the bar downstairs was very friendly during the day and recommended we come back for a meal maybe using the lounge bar, so glad we did. I had the fish and chips and my husband had the Lamb Shank. Wow!! One of the best meals i have had on the island and it is always so busy. Fab service DUbliner, keep it up.

“Try the Fish & Chips - We NEARLY did!”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

As a bar, I enjoyed visiting here several times during a recent week long visit to the Radisson St Julians in Malta. The beer was decent, the beer prices were good compared to many of the bars and the barmaid on most of the times we were there was very pleasant and talkative. The owner / manager was pleasant and the one evening that he was in when we were there he was telling us how good his fish and chips were..... we never found out.

One miserable wet, windy evening, we walked around from the Radisson to get our Fish & Chips - The bar was busy so we walked up the stairs to the lounge. Other than the waitress on duty, there was nobody else there, other that our favourite off-duty barmaid who was having a meal. We ordered 2 pints of Carlsberg - but were advised we would have to go to the bar downstairs and get them as they only had the local Cisk beer on draught upstairs. Having made the effort to walk 15 mins in the wet windy weather and to get there and the waitress who was doing nothing else other that bleathering to her off duty colleague couldn't be bothered to get the beer... we decided to go to our favourite restaurant Raffael (almost directly across the bay) and got an excellent, great value meal. with our drinks brought to the table.

The Dubliner missed out on selling 2 Fish & Chips and 8 pints of beer (in an empty lounge bar!)

“Disappointing service”
Reviewed November 30, 2013 via mobile

Having been there several times through the week I was starting to enjoy it as an expat environment as opposed to a tourist destination. The owner highly recommended the food so on a Saturday evening I decided to give the fish and chips ago as an alternative to pizza!
Downstairs was busy because of sport so we went upstairs. The only ones there! The red headed barmaid refused to serve Carlsberg and told us to go down and get it! Bemused I asked if that meant we had to go down for our meal too? We were the only 2 upstairs! An exchange of a few sentences would get us no where. There is plenty to chose from in St Julians and I won't chose here again so can't comment on the food. Pathetic attempt at custoner relations in fact just lazy staff that don't give 2 monkeys. I must add that another member of staff (dark hair) had been wonderful and was off duty but looked shocked at the attitude. Sorry Dubliner won't be back in a hurry!

“Great fish and chips”
Reviewed November 19, 2013

We went here for a quick bite after a day of touring. We sat on the second floor, right at the window overlooking the bay. Enjoyed a pint of beer and fish and chips. A very generous portion served with delicious guacamole . Service was fast and attentive and the price more than reasonable.Downstairs they were enjoying the soccer match and it was interesting to see all the different jerseys worn.
