We were as guestes for lunch at Sunday in this wonderful hotel and there was a vast selection of sea foods and other anti-pasto items on a round table, there were also 3 types of pasta to choose from and there was also an Indian table. At the entrance there was also a long table proposing 4 types of meat dishes and finally there was also a big problem to choose from the dessert selection, everything was great also the athmosphere, accompained with a piano. We loved that experiance and we are looking forward to go there again.

I travelled to Malta with my brother to spend our Christmas holiday there. The Island of Malta is a secret gem in the mediterranean. This hotel is well appointed, though the facilities are a bit dated. However, that gives the hotel a certain old Mediterranean feel which was enjoyable.

On the good side:
1. The service was great - Robert, the concierge, was always attentive and made the perfect restaurant and tour reservations for us. No complains there!
2. Breakfast was plentiful, delicious, fresh, and quite varied. It was a good mix of local food and more traditional continental breakfast items.
3. The spa, though expensive, was very enjoyable. I had a massage, and the service was carried out very professionally.
4. The indoor pool and hot tub were very nice for relaxing in the evening
5. The location is great for going shopping at the nearby mall, going out to eat, and taking a nice run around the promenade from St. Georges to Sliema.

On the not as good side:
1. I travelled in december, and despite the 18-22 degC outside, the heat was on in the hotel. The problem was that it couldn't be switched to AC because it is a central system. We had just travelled from Norway with temperatures as low as -15degC, so we felt quite suffocated in the room. We had to turn off the ventilation system all together and open the windows. The problem then became the mosquitoes. It was alright for a few days, but I probably would prefer to stay at this property in the summer when the AC is turned on!
2. Free wifi is only available in the lobby and is on the slow end of high-speed internet. While the lobby is quite an enjoyable area to have coffee or drinks, I would have preferred to be able to hold my skype sessions with family abroad in the privacy of my own room.

I thank you very much for your constructive detailed feedback regarding your recent stay at the Corinthia Hotel St George’s Bay.

It is great to read that Robert, our Head Concierge, provided you with excellent service and I am very happy that you enjoyed our lavish breakfast, our Spa and the Hotel’s central location.

I have also noted your comments regarding the heating and Wifi in rooms. Our system provides cold air in summer and hot air in winter, I apologise that you found this inconvenient. We are currently in the process of looking into a new TV and Wifi system in all our guest rooms.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Malta and to our Hotel.

We left a few hours ago after staying 6 nights. The rooms were large and well kept. The stuff were very friendly and helpfull. The location is far from the city public transportation about 10-15 minuts from nearest bus,on rainy days like we had it was a problem.the hotel tranportation runs once a day which I think should be a few times a day on rainy days.
In short I highly reccomand the hotel.

Many thanks for your positive feedback regarding your recent stay at the Corinthia Hotel St George’s Bay.

I am very happy that you like our rooms and that you found our employees friendly and helpful.

It is a pity about the misunderstanding regarding the public transport as there is a bus stage just outside the Hotel, one minute away.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back to Malta and to our Hotel.

We booked through an agent an got a good rate which made this hotel good value.
Pleasant public areas with free Wifi and fabulous views over the bay
We arrived early and our room wasn't ready but we were quickly given and alternative which had it's own great views.
We would give the hotel 4 stars rather than 5 as some details (such as the bathroom) were a little tired looking in places. Otherwise everything was clean and bright. We stayed in room 16 which is on the reception level.
Staff were always extremely helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was an extensive buffet - all good quality.
We did not eat dinner in the hotel because we were taken out every night by locally resident friends so we cannot comment on this
Henry J Beans American style bar was excellent value to pre dinner drinks - mae sure you go during happy hour for b.o.g.o.f. deal.
We would happily stay again definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a 4+ star in the St Julian's area.

Stayed at the Corinthia for a long weekend in a standard double room - highly recommended! Staff answered all our queries promptly and in a friendly personable manner and while we didn't dine here, the range of treats for breakfast was impressive, staving off hunger pangs for quite some time!

We had booked the hotel on the basis of a indoor pool being available and we were not disappointed. The Apollo Day Spa sparkled with cleanliness and we enjoyed some relaxing swims, as well as a fabulous upper body massage from one of the in-house therapists, on the penultimate day of our trip.

Thanks again for making our stay in Malta the relaxing experience we were both looking forward to!

We visited in October with our 20 year old daughter for one week. We were booked in to a suite and our daughter a standard double room. With the suite came the executive club membership which meant we took breakfast here, and there were snacks such as cheeses, cold meats, fresh fruit, cake, tea, coffee, beer and soft drinks available throughout the day to help yourself to. Early evening, two choices of hot buffet style food were available along with the other foods and wine was also available at this time to help yourself. There was an attentive member of staff available in the club room at all times and they were not intrusive as at times it was very quiet here. There were two balconies off the club room which overlooked the pools and out to sea which was lovely. We did not check in at the main reception this was done by a very helpful receptionist on the floor where the the club and suits were.

Our daughter was on a different floor and her standard double room was very nice and with a sea view to the side of the hotel not overlooking the pools. She too had a balcony with table and chairs. With this room breakfast was taken in the main restaurant or outside on the terrace. We all did this the first morning. It was very nice, clean but busy. The food selection was excellent. We sat on the terrace with our breakfast but the service was a bit hit and miss for coffee/tea etc. as it was so busy. After this we paid for our daughter to have executive club membership and she was able to join us throughout the day. We all took breakfast here for the rest of the holiday.

The outside pool areas were immaculate and cleaned every day and very well organised. Access to the lido was fine and was a nice alternative to the hotel pools. The main pool side bar was very expensive but the bar near the pool for the public and hotel guests was much better value.

The hotel rooms were extremely comfortable but the bathroom in our suite compared to the one in the standard double needed updating. The air conditioning in the suite did break during the night, was repaired with many apologies but did break again the following day. This happened during a storm and also happened in the club room, we were told this was a problem during atmospheric changes.

Our balcony looked out to sea and over the tower which was lovely. A wedding reception took place outside in this area but did not cause us any problems and it was lovely to see them enjoying themselves.

The hotel is well placed for restaurants and bars. We ate in Vinotheque twice which was excellent and in Da Marina twice which was also good and on the second time we reserved a lovely table on the terrace overlooking the sea and casino. We went to Henry J Beans but were not impressed with the service and on one occasion left before ordering it took so long. It is only a short walk down hill to the beach. This was very busy every day with young people we think from hotels in the town (Paceville) and local families. There are plenty of restaurants available within a 20 minute walk (St. Julian's). For those wanting clubbing there is plenty in Paceville (we didn't but our daughter was glad to see some).

Room Tip: Suites are worth the money and far superior to the standard rooms. Although the standard room was m...

Many thanks for your detailed positive feedback regarding your recent stay at the Corinthia Hotel St George’s Bay.

I am very happy to hear that you had a lovely stay with us and that you enjoyed your suite and the Executive Club facilities that came with it.

I am also glad that you made use of our outdoor recreational facilities and found them to be nice and clean. I have asked our Food and Beverage Manager to look into the prices of the Pool Bar.

I apologise about the slow service in Henry J Bean’s, this is not our usual standard. I have discussed this matter with the Restaurant Manager and the Food and Beverage Manager for them to take the necessary action to avoid such incidents in the future. Henry J Bean’s is very popular and always very busy. We have just recently introduced a traditional British dish of Fish and Chips with mushy peas and this is selling like hot cakes. It is a pity that you did not enjoy the delicious food we provide here.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Malta and to our Hotel in the future.

Best regards
