“Great Food and Service”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

In our 11 night stay to Malta we chose to dine here twic so good was the food and service.

It is a small family run restaurant witha limited menu, changed frequently, which ensures freshness of the food. The chef Ivan is Gordan Ramsey trained and I think this shows in both the standard of the food and presentation.

We chose to dine inside on both occassions and the service we received both timeswas excellent. With Ivan popping out to talk to us.

We shared the Ribeye steak on the bone and it was wonderfully cooked and well worth the 55 Euros. The Lobster pasta starter and scallops were also excellent.

Nice back ground music as well.

“This is the best restaurant in St Julian's without question”
Reviewed August 13, 2013 via mobile

The Chef is a genius it's that simple ! We have been lucky enough to have dined in some of the finest restaurants around the world and this place is right up there with the best of them. We don't know why this establishment has not got a Michelin star rating perhaps it's the location ? On arrival the great man himself makes you feel like time honoured guests, all of the produce on offer is shown to you and he takes time to find out what you really want on the night. I ordered the Sea Bass and my wife had Rib Eye, we normally have a great conversation during a meal but we barely spoke a word once we began, absolutely to die for. We are going back on the 16th for the aged beef, can hardly wait without wishing our holiday away.
Agassie is not cheap but if you are happy to pay for excellence then this is the place for you

“Fantastic experience!”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

Had a lovely Argentinian beef filé. It was fantastic! It accompanied the recommended wine very well. We went to this restaurant on recommendation from other guests at our hotel.

A lot of youngsters at the building next door (students) but they were not disturbing.

“Excellent!”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

this place needs to do some advertising. Fish was fresh and exquisitely prepared. Service was excellent. Was surprised there were so few tables. Bit away from the action but close to it. Small hotel down street didnt even know it. Surprising. Was in one of guide books.
