We first visited Giotto 3 years ago, it happened to be their opening week. We were pleased to see it is still open and going well. A small but very friendly restaurant.
If you can get there early, the balcony has great views over the bay.
The food is well prepared and fresh. We ate here twice on our recent visit and were not disappointed. The owner and staff are very friendly. I would say that the decor its not the most stylish, but it more than makes up for that in other ways, making for a relaxed informal dinner venue. The pasta's and pizza look great, however we did not try them as we were trying the different fish dishes, which were really good.
Good food, good wine in a friendly, well priced & well run restaurant. Would I return, most definately, in fact I cant wait.

The restaurant has a lovely view of Spinola Bay and the staff are very helpful. The owner luciano is always present to see all is well. The pizza is very good and the pasta was excellent. I also ate fish on another occasion which was nice. Definetly will go again and recommend

Offers take away without taking away anything from the quality :) Not the best, but well worth trying. Ingredients carefully sourced and prices certainly not expensive. Good balance.

We were here for the same reason as another reviewer "We found this restaurant by accident as we were looking for the entrance for the one below it"

There are masses of places to get a pizza in St Julians. This place has a nice position, but very bad service. The beer I ordered did not arrive, the sparking water was still. The waitress could best be described as surly. They really did not seem to care whether we were here or not.

The starter we had was a beef carpaccio which was very good However the pizza, a seafood one, was spoiled by an overpowering use of tomato sauce.

If I wanted a pizza again in St Julians, then I would go elsewhere, even the Pizza Hut looked a better bet.

OK, it was New Year's Day and busy, but from the initial "welcome" to getting the bill, at no time did we feel valued customers. There were empty tables, but not laid up, so we were kept waiting in the entrance without comment or explanation.

We were eventually showed to a table outside, with a heater, and watched as more people were shown to their tables. We weren't too pleased, then, to have our order taken long after people who had been seated after us. We watched others' food arriving (but not to the table which was occupied before our arrival!) and waited, and waited.

When the pizza came it was fine, but by that time it was not enough to make up for wait, and my wife still reckons we should have gone to the Pizza Hut across the road.

The two waiters simply weren't up to the task of looking after the number of customers. An unsatisfactory evening.
