This hotel is fantastic! The staff were absolutely lovely - extremely helpful and attuned to our needs. The location is ideal, and the standard of the hotel is great as well! It's definitely a hotel we will choose again in the future!

My husband and I took our daughters (age 3 and 6) for a 7 night stay during the school easter holidays, the weather was 20 degrees + every day- it was great. We stayed in a family room, spacious with the normal king bed and two additional single fold out beds. The bathroom and balcony were also as expected for a 5 star hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. There is a handy public childrens play area situated at the front of the hotel, which the girls also enjoyed during our stay- giving them a break from the various excursions we had planned. We were not informed prior to arrival that the indoor heated pool was undergoing maintenance! This opened with 2 days to go for out holiday, it was in no way heated! The indoor pool facility was also not what I would have expected from a 5 star hotel- I am wondering whether the hotel relies on the outdoor facilities to please guests during the holiday season (which we were told starts in May). Not at all a bad hotel to stay in with children, comfortable and good location to visit Maltas gems (Valetta, various sandy bays and Gozo) and close to restaurants. If you are looking for a genuine 5 star place this is not the hotel to come too, but if your looking for good accomodation this could be it.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear your family holiday was comfortable and enjoyable. It is also great to hear that the weather turned out well and you enjoyed the sightseeing. Please accept our sincere apologies for the last minute emergency works on the indoor pool which were unfortunately beyond our control. May we look forward to welcoming you back in the near future,

Sincerely,

Aaron Vella

I've just returned from spending 11 fantastic days at the Radisson. I have stayed here many times and each time I go it's always just as good as the last.

The rooms are spacious and well furnished and since my last stay in 2013, the televisions have been upgraded to good size flat-screens, the bathrooms have been renovated to bring them up to date and a fresh coat of paint provided to the bedroom.

The main hotel bar, 'The Bridge Bar' has also undergone a renovation of sorts, with new modern (and very comfortable!) sofas and chairs replacing the old leather ones. A great place to relax and unwind, it has a good selection of drinks and cocktails and the excellent bar staff are always willing to make drinks that aren't on the menu (such as a White Russian / Bloody Mary etc). They also provide excellent entertainment a couple of nights a week - not the typical Karaoke type singer, but a high quality Jazz band or pianist, which just adds to the great ambiance.

Eating at the hotel is always an enjoyable experience. 'La Bistro' offers a wide selection of very well prepared dishes and has a good wine list to accompany. The Kon-Tiki Restaurant is a buffet style restaurant, again the food is always great in here. This is also where breakfast is served - an enticing buffet of cereals, meats, freshly cooked hot food (bacon, sausages etc), eggs cooked to order (omelets etc), plenty of fresh fruit, the list goes on and on! There is also The Edge restaurant, which provides a great eating place with excellent views across the bay and sea, although this is seasonal so was closed when I was there, however I shall ensure that I have at least one meal there when I return later in August.

One of the many great things about this hotel is the staff. Everybody that I have encountered has always been so friendly and helpful, the waiting staff in the restaurants, the bar staff, the receptionists, room cleaners, everyone can never do enough to help and truly do uphold the 'Yes I Can' motto of Radisson.

The only thing that was a slight surprise is that you now have to pay for parking. It's not the cost that bothers me at all (it's a minimal amount), it's simply that I don't see why a 5 star hotel is charging guests for the use of the car park, especially when it appears that their sister hotel across the island (Golden Sands) doesn't. I can appreciate that they may not want non-guests to use the car park, however at other five star hotels that I have stayed in where a similar operation is in place, the parking is free for the guest and the room card is used to open the barriers - very odd.

That aside, I really do recommend this hotel. And I am already looking forward to my return in August.

Thanks again to everyone at the Radission St Julian's and see you in a few months. Jon Worrall.

Room Tip: Make sure you go for a sea-view room. They provide an unrivaled view over the Mediterranean.

My wife and I stayed in a one bedroom suite (Unit 754) which had a comfortable bed, 2 bathrooms, spacious sitting room, compact kitchen and 4 sets of patio doors leading to balcony areas with seating and great views from the top floor.

The combination of friendly welcoming staff, spacious accommodation, free WIFI, free Parking, on site hotel facilities and convenient location makes this resort and excellent choice for a relaxing holiday in Malta.

We would happily return to this resort.

Room Tip: 754 would be a good choice

Seeking a short notice holiday in sunshine during our atrocious winter we found this with Titan Travel.
We had stayed in Radisson Blu on the continent and had been impressed so we were very happy with the choice of hotel by Titan. It turned out to be an excellent choice.
The room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. Two small points of criticism - the storage space was very limited and in a hotel where guests will book for in excess of a week one would hope for at least several drawers apiece. The second point was that while there was plenty of room for them there were no comfortable armchairs. We brought the chairs in from the balcony and put our 'bed cushions' on them as a stop gap.
Why when there are two guests in the room does the hotel only provide ONE face flannel. Despite repeating our request to our room maid we were still chasing a second flannel most days!
The room position was very good as we were on the 6th floor with a wonderful view over the bay which included ancient buildings and modern 'ancient' in the form of the Casino. The drawback here was that there was a generator down on the ground which was rather noisy. This made using the balcony unlikely.
The food was of a very good standard (although I still prefer waiter service to buffet) and, as I like porridge for breakfast, after the first morning someone was always waiting for me each morning to ascertain if I wanted my 'usual'. A very nice touch I thought.
The staff generally were excellent. The concierge service was particularly good providing us with excellent advice and directions on several occasions.
We particularly enjoyed the 'Happy Hour' as did many other guests!
Access to public transport was very good. This applied to the general bus service and to the tourist 'round the island' hop on,hop off tours.
We enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: Rooms on the south east side have very good views although you may have the generator noise too.

A comforatble and very friendly hotel. It needed some refreshing to some facilities in my room such as the bathroom, which the taps did not swithc completely between batch and shower, and unfortunately the water was almost cold by late afternoon.

THIS HOTEL WAS EXCEPTIONAL IN EVERY WAY. The room was spacious, clean and tidy. Meals were fantastic, staff very helpful and friendly. On the day of departure we were able to allowed to keep the room ,free of charge, until 6pm ,which was very good of them. The hotel and its location cannot be faulted.
