Stayed in 2 bedroom bay view suite. Breathtaking ocean views all around our suite. Excellent location and close to shops and restaurants. The resort has a private beach with lots of sunbeds. There are about 5 different places u can eat in the hotel. All delicious. Staff friendly and all spoke perfect English. Huge lobby / bar / piano area. Free wifi, and big breakfast. Loved it and stayed for 9 nites. Would stay again. Thank u westin.

We got married on September 7 at the Westin and it was absolutely perfect. Not just the wedding but the whole experience, before and after. This hotel is clearly run by professionals and people who know what they are doing. It has all the ingredients: location, charm, class and excellent service. Simply put, we did not want our stay to end. There cannot be a better place in Malta that deserves all the superlatives the Westin gets. It is second to none.

The people we dealt with and who helped organise everything, the unsung heroes behind the scenes, were great in that they listened attentively and delivered professionally. They were discrete, extremely courteous and polite, efficient and great in all they did. They thought of alternative plans in case of inclement weather and other eventualities and saw to it that all the arragements were made in time and to perfection. We would like to single out for praise Robert Vella (The Wedding Organiser) and his colleague Pierre. Thank you also to Mr. Kemsky, the General Manager who personally greeted and saw to our wellbeing and all the front desk staff who were very helpful and kind. Our wedding guests were so impressed with the hotel that they all wished they had booked to stay there. Some did of course and their voices were the loudest at heaping praise to the hotel. Absolutely everything was what we wanted and had wished for and then some.

Our ceremony took place in the Sunken Gardens which under Robert's supervision and care had been set up exactly as we had wished. We then moved within the gardens for canapés and welcome drinks which were served by a young and delightful team of waiters. Everything tasted and looked amazing and the secluded gardens with their shade and tranquility made all at ease and relaxed.

The reception that followed at the Reef was otherwordly! Apart from the setting Pierre and his staff had seen to in miniscule detail and the arrangements which were picture perfect, the approaching sunset colours and the calm blue sea just made it heavenly. The food and service were excquisite. People commented on how the waiters and all the staff were brilliant in the way they served, collected, replenished and managed everything. Talk about feeling looked after and catered for.

The waiters, including the younger team at the Gardens, the banqueting manager who was in control made sure our day went without an issue or problem. Big thanks to Bernie for the help with the beverages. We had 110 very happy guests!

Our room, the food, the sumputous breakfasts, the swimming pools; everything was great. We would without any hesitation highly recommend The Westin for first class service.

Once again thank you Robert and all. We will be back.

Room Tip: Tower room of course.

This hotel has the best view of all in St Julien's area. The pool is very clean and it even has a private tanning area right next to the ocean. It was never too noisy and just about right. The guests were very classy and there was a good mixture of couples and families.

We loved this hotel so much that we hardly went out and just loved staying in our room or in the balcony, listening/watching the ocean.

The hotel is situated not too close to Paceville so it's never to noisy. The service is excellent. We also used the not so glamorous tennis court but it was free! Towels and equipment is also provided.

We also stayed at Intercontinental and compared to there this hotel should be 7 stars!

Next to the hotel there are two restaurants with amazing views and good value for money: Apollo and Quadro.

We will be back to stay here without a doubt.

Room Tip: 4th floor and up (back of the hotel) facing the ocean.

The day we were leaving we met him in the lobby and we hsd a hearty bon voyage. ..he gifted us a little bag of pastries for our journey home which in the heat of a lsst minute rush...I left them behind me..please robert if your reading this..im very sorry and disgusted with myself! ...thank you again for everything!

Second visit to malta, first to the Westin. An excellent Hotel with excellent Staff and a good choice of Restaurants and Bars. Very comfortable and relaxing. Hope to go again next year. If that's not a recommendation, then I don't know what is!

Room Tip: Try and get a room facing into the pool area, a bit quieter than on the outside.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is located within minutes walking disance of some of the EastCoast of Maltas prime attractions. There were a few areas of improvement which I have outlined in this review.

We stayed on the 7th floor which a sign on the floor told us it was for Starwood Preferred Guests. I think it’s a bit harsh to suggest “preferred” in terms of the type of guests allowed to occupy the floor. Anyway, we got a great sea view which overlooked the restaurants with a view of the casino to our left. There are however full sea view rooms available that look over the pool but probably at a higher rate.
Some of the reviews on this thread suggest booking a tower room. I have yet to discover exactly what that is??
I did find that the number of toiletries and water given to our room was a bit tight. A miniature of each (shampoo, conditioner, body wash and mouthwash) was provided to us. This is for 2 people to share. That was certainly not enough for the both of us. We did ring Housing Services and they were more than happy to send us up some more so that was not an issue. Just think it makes sense from the get go to provide enough toiletries for the number of occupants in the room as well as the complimentary water bottle.

The pools are lovely here, slightly cold but the areas around the pool are very nice to take it easy and chill out in the sun. Was really nice to have an outdoor jacuzzi as well. We were disturbed whilst sun bathing in the bay view area by a large group who literally put their sun beds all around us making so much noise, forcing us really to move to a quieter area up by the pool instead.

There did seem to be a beach towel policy with cards where we had to show this to collect a towel however this was not enforced all the time. Sometimes towels were available by the pool for guests to take at their leisure.

One thing that just slightly disturbed me was the morning we ordered room service breakfast. the deliverer had his walkie talkie on and it was noisy. Having woken up that early in the morning, I would have appreciated the volume down or off even when serving guests in their rooms. It wasn’t a one off. In the mornings you could hear the staffs walkie talkies going off in the corridors which was annoying.

We were unlucky to have an adjoining room with a family next door. Although we did not complain to the reception as its understandable with little children there is likely to be a lot of noise and this was exactly the case. Our neighbour to our adjoining room had kids and they were very noisy in the mornings and evenings. I guess the hotel could try their best efforts to place families in one section of the hotel and couples in another section. Don't know how practical/feasible this would be to manage though.

Please don’t be put off though by my review. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family visiting Malta.
It’s in a great location, with great facilities and is maintained in a good way. You can’t really go wrong. Think we were just a little unlucky with the points I have raised above.

Room Tip: Go for a full sea view room. If you go for a partial sea view , make sure your on a higher floor to...
