Hi there,

Thank you for choosing The George for your stay in Malta. We really do appreciate that you chose to review the hotel and are very glad that you had a super time with us. I have noted that the food by our rooftop pool was not to your satisfaction and apologise about our shortcomings. If you do have time, drop me a line on ma@thegeorgemalta.com and let me know what was not that good.

Thanks once again and enjoy the rest of your summer !!

Kind regards
Malcolm

Just got home from this hotel and it is by far one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at (considering I only go for at least 4 stars hotels with nice design). I got impressed by the staff which are all VERY serviceminded and professional. The room was spacious and nice, had good storage opportunities. Loved the Molton Brown toiletries. One of our concerns before going was the noise from paceville and sure, we could here some noise from the streets when we were going to bed but we were never disturbed by this and always had a really good sleep. The pool area was truly relaxing, really nice atmosphere and there was no problem finding a spot. I also had a massage at the spa which was good and the treatment room was very nice. Our only disappointment was the food at the rooftop bar.

Just returned from a week long stay here and have to say how great it was. We were based on the 1st floor and no noise throughout the week was noted despite there being a lot of young people around the area and the nightlife approx 2 streets away.
Staff were very courteous and polite and always ready to help you if required.
Breakfast had many options to suit all tastes.

Room Tip: Sorry, nothing to recommend as all was good.

We go home tomorrow from a weeks stay at this hotel. Anyone who finds fault is a very unhappy person as we found it to be one of the best hotels we had stayed in, for the price, and we have travelled the world. Staff very helpful but Peter is soooo nice and works hard to please you. Rooms spacious, comfortable and clean. Well done, keep it up you definitely pleased us. To explain we are rocking on 70 years and although the clubs etc were round the corner it never bothered us. In fact just the opposite as the young ones made us feel young.

Room Tip: Go for a junior suite it faces the front and less noise

Hotel is in a good area it's not been to noisy. The staff are friendly but lacking common sense and knowledge. Food in the hotel is ok but far to expensive a rip of a rip off. Roof top pool is very Nice gets very busy it's Ment to be for 21 and over no kids lovely but ray don't seen to enforce that rule. Overall I don't think I will be coming back to this hotel.

We spent a week in this hotel and all aspects of the hotel was very good. Staff were friendly, large spacious rooms, clean, lovely roof pool with views of the sea. With in walking distance of great restaurants in Spinola Bay. It is very close to the busy nightlife of paceville, which was not really our thing as the age range was young, but no noise was heard at the hotel. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a up market hotel and we would stay again if back in the area.

Room Tip: Count go for court yard room, get a deluxe. The higher the room the better view.

Whilst our room was quite spacious and very clean the matress was very hard, good for some I know but not for us. We were woken at 0500-0530 for the first three mornings by the noise of the pool loungers being dragged around above us and the sound of a pressure washer being used, this I have to say did stop after I complained.
Breakfast was, at very best poor, and the breakfast room staff except for the greeter were a miserable bunch, I dont think I saw a smile on anyone's face all week!
I ordered a Shrimp Salad from the pool bar menu on our first day and was served a small bowl of chopped up brown lettuce, and a few prawns drizzled with yogurt dressing, Salad?..I dont think so!
As to the attention to detail, there are some really lovely hanging lights in the reception area, but when you are in the breakfast area on the mezzanine floor you can see how dusty they really are and you can also see where they have reached when cleaning the front windows, yes they are very high but surely they should be cleaned all the way up! Our bathroom had cement/tile adhesive on the floor in front of the WC surely after the 2 years that the hotel has been open this should have been removed by now. The vanity unit in the bathroom was loose from the wall which I reported, this was very quickly rectified the following morning by a very polite and pleasant member of the maintenance team.
On the plus side I ordered some flowers and a bottle of wine to be in our room on arrival, both items were there as promised, and whats more to the point nobody said anything about them on our arrival as has happened in other hotels and spoilt the surprise for my wife, thank you Caroline!

Room Tip: Choose a courtyard room.
