It was a cold weekday when we wanted to celebrate a special birthday and this time the choice fell on LULU. To find a parking place was hard and we ended parking at the Hilton Hotel close by. The place is well decorated, and tables set for a five star meal. It took no time when we were kindly attended by the head waiter who offered that we can taste the wine before ordering. Firsts were excellent and delicious, cooked to perfection. Seconds we went for the meat. A bit overcooked for our liking. It all ended up with a perfect dessert which closed the evening in the right way. Coffee was a must to close off the dinner.
The concept is that the price is fixed to € 25.00 and you can order whatever you like and always pay the same price. Drinks extra. Well worth it and not to miss a visit to this place.

The food in this restaurant is some of the best we have tasted in a long time. The pork cheek in fig sauce is out of this world. The sauce is rich and unctuous, made with real flair. The pork tender and slowly cooked to perfection. The range and quality of wine is fantastic. We ate in this place twice. Couldn't get enough of it. Really would recommend.

This is a quiet restaurant tucked away in the back-streets of St Julians. It is warm, inviting and comfortable. The service is unobtrusive and attentive. We dined there in the evening, and started with the fish soup. It wasn’t bad, but could have done with some sea food to add more flavour. The main courses were both good – portion size is not too excessive, and the food is well cooked; the white fish was flavour-some and succulent, as was the rib-eye steak. They have a good selection of wine available, even in half-bottles, which came nicely chilled. One of us had a dessert (Apple pie and cream) which was very pleasant, whilst the other diner asked about more savoury desserts (cheese), but unfortunately we have found this type of dessert not common in Malta!
The cost was very reasonable – EUR 25 per head for three courses (wine extra). This is a serious restaurant which we recommend and would definitely visit again.

Good restaurant with huge windows facing a nice ancient looking wall. Food was excellent, they seemed to lack someone with knowledge about their wines though. Would return.

We went there as a couple.
The restaurant is gorgeous. I loved that when you went downstairs to go to the toilets you could see into the kitchen - a lovely effect.

We seemed to be the only tourists there on that particular night, all other tables seemed to be locals and we noticed that we were treated a little differently. We didn't receive a bottle of water as every other table did, we got a jug which was just half filled and we noticed that other tables got complimentary shots at the end.

The food was gorgeous however the portions are small.
