Lovely restaurant and beautifully decorated.
I had the Pad Thai. This is one of my favourite ever dishes so I have it in a lot of places but I can honestly say that this was the BEST I have ever had. Pad Thai is supposed to have nuts and I always ask for extra as they always lack and taste of fake flavours, but this one was delicious. I don't eat seafood, so the waitress suggested I switch out the prawns for chicken which was no problem and I didn't need the extra nuts... This was a Pad Thai that all others need to look to emulate!
Unfortunately though, I couldn't give this restaurant 5* because my bf had the medallions of beef and asked for them to be "medium-well". When they came out the first time they were barely medium-rare, never mind close to medium-well. After attempting to eat one, he requested they be recooked and they were returned to him very swiftly.... It was a shame because once again, they were still pretty rare and in the end he could only eat 1-2 of the 4 that were remotely near how he eats his steak.
The starters were good and the service was pretty good, but the fact that they couldn't get the medallions cooked how was requested, twice, really let it down for us... If you want Pad Thai though, definitely go here and I'm sure a lot of the other food would be in the same category as it, it's just a shame the chef didn't want to cook the beef to how his customer wanted it...
