Feel slightly guilty about being one star short because the food is great... However... We visited around 9 o'clock having booked and were quickly shown to our table, the restaurant is small with a lovely view through big windows of the sea. Being so small it is very very loud! Our visit was like a scene from cocoon with tables of oaps the majority. One table who had prime spot at the window consisted of 5 elderly women and 2 men, their behaviour was unacceptable and took something away from a much anticipated meal.
They were drunk and loud and swore, announcing to everyone they were going for a wee and eventually ended up arguing and finger pointing at each other, these were fancy dressed, posh old people who couldn't handle wine and carried on like no one else was there. At another table were 4 elderly gents who also forgot where they were although they apologised for their volume to us when leaving. The food is great with big steaks a speciality and chocolate desert amazing.
The service was very polite and efficient but staff apologising after the event just made us feel a quiet word to tone the volume down might of been appropriate, restaurants should have atmosphere and people enjoy themselves but come on! we didn't even realise their was music playing until they'd left! Would recommend and hope people get luckier with clientele than we did.
