There were 3 levels. It is a mall more suitable for family and guys, but not for the ladies. There are a lot of menswear shops selling polo tee, shoes…etc. Food is much cheaper than Singapore and you could have a decent seafood meal at Red Crab restaurant along the Food Street at around SGD 50 for two persons, with salted egg crab weighted 700g, lala, a “fake” shark fin soup, vegetable, and 2 non alcoholic drinks.

The things that you can consider buying if you come to Batam (due to higher living expenses in Singapore) is mens clothes, supermarket stuff, snacks like kueh lapis, household products...etc.

Need to bargin when shopping at there. Price can be slashed almost 50%. Many shop over there. From shirt dress pants shoes watches. U say it it name it. Best part was there is A & W fast food restaurants. For Singaporean those who miss the fast food.

I Took a 45 mins ferry from singapore Harbourfront center to Batam Harbour Bay and then transferred by taxi 10 mins time to Nagoya Hill. This place is 3 storeys high which sells lots of clothings, shoes, watches and bags. Food wise, there is a Bak Kut Teh shop named Shuang Hor which is fantastic. You can also find A & W there. There are also a lot of massage parlours just opposite the street. A place not to missed in Batam!!!

We shopped for groceries( really cheap) , had a foot and shoulder massage for SGD $8 and did our nails for around $11. There are shops which sells basic clothing's like t shirts for $3. Worth the day spent there.
