First off, the hotel isn't actually in Monaco. It's about 100m inside France. But it's close enough. Those hundred metres make this hotel several hundred Euros chepaer than it's near neighbours, especially on popular Monaco nights.
The hotel staff are very friendly from receptionists to managers. There is nothing snooty about them as I have experienced in other French hotels and they are more than happy to accomodate the antics of guests from all walks of life.
We spent 2 nights here and very much enjoyed our stay. More than happy to reccommend it!

Excellent hotel, finished to a high standard.

Rooms were clean and newly fitted out with walnut fittings, flat screen TV and everything you would expect. Bathroom was of equally high standard. Most rooms face the sea, with balcony - which was great for breakfast we had bought from the Carrefour around the corner.

Service in the hotel was very good - we had room service for breakfast one day which was quick and tasty. Hotel runs a shuttle bus every 30mins/hour to 4 different destinations in Monaco - this was brilliant, and we booked in advance to always get a space. On one trip we were the only passengers and the driver took us on the F1 route!

Pool was freezing cold in October, which I didnt expect having had all summer to warm up - perhaps they had refilled. Still, was nice to enough the lovely October sunshine on the plentiful loungers.

Restaurant was ok - but the worst place we ate whilst there, and the most expensive!

Easy to walk around Monaco and bus is only 1 euro per trip - the hotel is on 2 buses and this is what I would recommend. Avoid buses at 4pm during term time however!

Recommended things to do - Cafe de Paris restaurant (sirloin steak was delicious and affordable), Tourist Train from Fonteville, Monte Carlo Casino, Jardin Exotique - which has a fab restaurant outside with the best views.

Everyone speaks English, apart from in Carrefour (be warned!).

All in all, a LOVELY place to visit!

Found most reviews about this hotel useful and correct
The place is truly difficult to find. Rooms are small when compared to U.S.A. hotels of this class. We enjoyed sitting on our terrace there but were disturbed by the incessant come and go of helicopters to and from the very nearby heliport.
A tip for budget conscious guests : have a typical French breakfast (excellent coffee with croissant and pain au chocolat) for 3,50€ or delicious sandwiches at the small coffeeshop (with terrace) around the corner to the right of the hotel.

We stayed at this hotel in July and find it to be very nice. The room is modern and clean and the staff are friendly. It's a great base for driving around French Riviera. Driving from Nice, we also had a hard time finding the hotel. The trick is to look for the signs leading to Louis II stadium and loop around the stadium. There you will find the street leading to the hotel. It worked for us!

A very nice hotel with great views but extremely hard to reach. Once you descend the narrow and winding road toward the marina you can clearly see the Marriot hotel. Actually finding the little road to get this so a real challenge. We drove around Monaco for about 45 minutes trying to find the street the got us to the front door. It's a real challenge. Good Luck. Otherwise, beautiful, clean, friendly staff and outstanding views of the harbor.

Stayed for a 2 night weekend break. Our first trip to Monaco. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is on a marina at Cap d'Ail but in reality only a shortish walk into Monaco itself (15 minutes to the old city, 25 minutes to the Casino area). It is very close to the AS Monaco football stadium and has several bars, shops and restaurants close-by. Breakfast in the hotel was excellent and we did have the hotel evening buffet on day which was OK, but nothing startling. Our room overlooked the marina and had a balcony. For our visit it was ideal.

The old city is a must, as is a look around the Casino (there is a small admission charge but you don't have to gamble - you need a passport or other ID for entry). As we didn't really understand the games, we just watched and admired to decor. The area around the Casino and Cafe de Paris are good for people watching. Obviously there is plenty about the Grand Prix but nothing too tacky, with plenty recognisable locations.

Getting to the hotel by service bus from Nice airport was very easy. A Brit resident we met at the airport kept us right. The Monaco bus actually stopped right outside the hotel and was only a fraction of the price of a Cab. As we stayed in Nice before travelling home we travelled from Monaco to Nice by train, which again was simple, inexpensive and took a lovely coastal route. A day trip one place to the other by train would be a good option.

We could recommend the hotel and location for anyone interested in the nicer things in life who is reasonably fit.
