Having been to Martinos once previously we popped in for a quick lunch time meal, we waited over 30mins while other customers were served their starters and mains. When we enquired about our meal we were later informed our order had been lost and were offered a free drink which we never received. 10 mins later we again asked where our food was and were told "WE ARE BUSY", we eventually received our starter. Again we had to ask for our main meal, the managers we extremely unhelpful and curt so my husband joined the queue at the bar to ask for a refund, at which point our food arrived and I explained we were requiring a refund and was told "HAVE IT ON THE HOUSE". At the same time my husband was told our food had arrived so did not get our money back. We had waited 1hour and 10mins from ordering until our main meal arrived which myself and my 17month old son were sharing, as we had waited so long we were no longer hungry.
Customers who had ordered after ourselves had left the restaurant within an hour as we had all ordered from a small set menu. The restaurant was not completely full and does not seem to have enough staff. I spoke to a work colleague who was there the same lunch time who said she and her party waited 40 mins for their starter.
Great food extremely rude management, great food is avaliable at a lot of restaurants - good service gets you going back.
