After a bracing walk along the beach we were ready for comfort food and the Salt House hit the spot with skinless cod in crispy beer batter, chunky chips, mushy peas and their home made tartare sauce. Great service in glitzy surroundings, the menu is comprehensive and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

A family outing for Sunday lunch, have been a few times so we were all looking forward to our meal. Once again the food was exceptional, huge portions of fresh home cooked food. I opted for the pork accompanied by the best pork crackling I've had in a long time, beautiful fresh veg, stuffing and a large Yorkshire pudding. I don't know how but for afters I still managed to find room for a very delicious sticky toffee pudding and ice cream!!!

Everyone enjoyed both main and dessert, all agreed both the food and service were fabulous. Staff were both friendly and very efficient.

All in all a very enjoyable meal and it won't be long before we return.

Been here 3 times twice for lunch once for afternoon tea, always really busy, so best to book. Love it, the goats cheese tarts are amazing, and their cakes are fantastic. Service is prompt and friendly and it's a real gem in Seaburn!

We went to Seaburn on a whim and didn't fancy fish and chips so thought we'd try this place. They were clearly very very busy but we managed to get in and the staff were welcoming. There was quite a wait for the food but when it did come the soup was delicious, my son enjoyed his kids fish goujons very much and I loved my goats cheese and onion tart. My husband always seems to order the wrong thing and had the crab cakes which were thin discs of overcooked not much. He said they might have been tasty if they'd been taken out of the fryer 2 minutes before.
Nevertheless my sons shared a chocolate orange cake and polished it off quickly.

We would come back if we were in the area.
