Great hotel that was near enough Newcastle but far enough away not to be disturbed at all hours of night with noisy hen/stag weekends.
Clean and comfortable with more than ample free car parking.Breakfast next door in Liberty Browns a bit disappointing as food was not very hot but otherwise was good value for money as kids eat free.

Our room had been booked and paid for by my husbands company. They have recently stopped using your firm, for various reasons......?
On this Friday night (2nd May) we retired early as we had work on the Saturday.
We were kept awake until the early hours of Saturday morning by rampaging footsteps and slamming doors.

As a further disaster - at 6.00 am the fire alarms went off! We scrambled into our clothes in a mad panic only to discover it was some kind of 'fault' in room 5....... so we missed out another 2 hours much needed sleep.

As the 'sleep guarantee' was of no benefit to us we suggested that we had a free breakfast - as the Whtehaven PI had once given us in similar circumstances. There was no manager present and the young girl 'in charge' refused to do this. Compounding this - her attitude was awful. She was smirking and obviously enjoying being unhelpful. When I said I would complain to PI she said, aggressively, 'You do that then, if you want'. I will never, ever stay in a Premiere Inn again - I'd rather sleep in the back of the car. In fact, I'd probably have a better night's sleep there!!
Then - the breakfast cost £17.50 ! I would have expected it to be good but it wasn't. It was 'self service'.
The fried eggs were hard and even the whites were discoloured and rubbery as hell
The bacon was stewing in it's own white scummed juice.
The tomatoes were tinned.
The sausages probably hadn't seen much of the pig and were akin to 'value' sausages.
The beans were over sweet and sloppy.
The hash browns were floppy and sad.

In fact - the whole thing was pretty inedible. What a complete rip off!! Never again, Premier Inn!!!

Recently stayed here for a second time with friends. The hotel is comfortable and has all you need for a cheep night stay. The surrounding area has a lovely restaurant and tapas bar and they also do a buffet breakfast which we all really enjoyed the next morning.
I would recommend this hotel to any one needing to stay in the area and would certainly love to return to the restaurant next door!

The room was dark, with broken light and the bathroom walls were covered in hand prints on the tiles...clearly they had not been cleaned daily in or indeed for sometime.
We dined in the Premier Inn but the service was poor, the food was greasy and expensive and a number of our party had upset stomachs and indigestion through the night and next day.
Staff were badly dressed and some wore completely inappropriate clothing for the situation resulting in a regular show of knickers and large holes in tights.
Service was very poor and repeat requests for appropriate cutlery was frustrating.
Breakfast was of a poor quality and again the staff were badly dressed, without name tags to id them. The juice glasses had bits of green vegetable matter on from the previous nights dinner but the waitress refused to believe until some of us put the glass into the hand and asked her what was in the glass? She maintained it had just come out of the dishwasher, was abrasive in her manner and did not apologize for her error or bringing such dirty glasses for customers!
The whole experience left lots to be desired and I would never recommend either staying without breakfast or with dinner and breakfast to anyone.

Get more than what you pay for, great facilities, clean and fresh. Good choice for breakfast. Really good value for money and quality. Only downside is near to noisy road but windows shut most of the noise out.
