Premier Inn Sunderland A19/A1231 Hotel

Its a bit difficult to find unless you follow the directions carefully. Its almost hidden on an industriai estate - look for the Nissan dealer - but that means its generally quiet. Usual Premier Inn rooms, beds and sleep gurarantee. Usual welcome at reception. No prblem parking the car, although its not the biggest car park I have seen.
Meals can be taken on site at the Brewers Fayre - a rather tired brand in my view - which serves typical pub fayre, with a themed dish each evening and sometimes a carvery. Good fior kids - and there were a few there. One part of the pub is quieter - although none of the staff pointed this out.

For the adventurous there is another hotel nearby with food, but you really need to take the car.

All in its as good as most Premier Inns, and it has been refurbed recently.

Room Tip: No lift so you might want to be downstairs

Stayed 26th Aug for one night. Very friendly receptionist on arrival (LIndsey) asked for end of corridor room and was changed without any problem.Room as always clean and comfortable. Huge wall mounted t.v. Ross (maybe Russ) the night receptionist was very good, needed a taxi no problem he called and that was that! A very concisenesses man, hope he stays with the company.
Would stay there again without hesitation.

Room Tip: End of corridor rooms always quite.

Just got back from a weekend stay, was a bit worried about it being noisy, but Friday night we never heard a thing after 9pm, saturday was a bit noiser but quieten down by 11pm. Room was spotless, bed comfy and staff very friendly. Ate at the Brewers Fayre next door both nights food and drink very good. Great stay and great nights rest each night after our days out exploring.

I have been to this hotel on many occasions. The staff are very pleasant and friendly, always happy to help in any way they can, for example, giving us directions to nearby places etc. The brewers fayre pub next door is very useful, lovely atmosphere there, always enjoyed the food and drink when we have visited. The hotel rooms are very comfortable, always had a good nights sleep there. I'm always impressed with the service we receive on every occasion we visit, and I definitely wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Stayed here at the beginning of July with family, having stayed here on a number of a occasions previously. it was as expected. A high standard of cleanliness and friendliness. Greeted by smiling receptionist, who we have met previously. Explained everything and went to our clean comfortable room. No issues with room or bathroom. Hairdryer for those who need one and showere gel provided. we were on a B and B stay. Breakfast as good and plentiful as ever. On the first day, they appeared to be extremely busy and a lack of staff meant t here were shortages on the cereal, juice etc and we had to ask for them to be topped up. next day all was fine as hotel appeared a lot quieter. Overall, met all our expectations and will certainly return and recommend.

we stayed at this hotel for one of our 'going somewhere we've never been before' trips. I can highly recommend this hotel. The staff are very friendly & helpful, without being too overpowering. When I asked about the weather & distance to places they were only too willingly to help. We wanted to go to the beach & we were recommended a nice quiet spot which was just what we wanted. We took up the meal deal offer & were not disappointed. Breakfast was lovely, not too much pressure to eat it all. As it was all buffet we were able to pick & choose whatever we wanted. The evening meal was also really good. Plenty of choice & good value for money. There was a buzz about the place which made it feel like restaurants used to be! The only bad thing was that the fire alarm went off at 11pm & we had to assemble outside. The staff were very helpful & looked after us until we were allowed to go back inside - the alarm was triggered by a group of 'guests' smoking out of their windows!

all in all a great trip that we will be repeating - we've found a nice hotel that we will visit again!

Everything you would expect from a Premier Inn. All clean and tidy and looks like it has recently bee refurbished. Didn't eat in the adjoining pub but looked ok.
