Be careful if you get a taxi from the airport as there are 2 Scandics! The Oslo Airport one is also classed as Gardermoen by the taxi drivers so make sure you show the driver the address, alternatively get the much cheaper airport shuttle (700 krone) and you will know you are on the right bus! This hotel has obviously been purchased from another chain as some signs still have the old name covered over. However this did not detract from the fact this was a good airport hotel. The rooms were classic Scandinavian i.e. not huge but lovely crisp, white linen on the beds. Decent shower room. Odd numbers over look the carpark so maybe ask for an even number, with window closed you hear no noise. It was very windy the night I was there and the flag poles were clattering so I had to shut the window. No noise could be heard of other guests, no doors banging etc! Free wifi. Buffet breakfast by 9am it was looking a little tired as breakfast starts at 4am but there was plenty of choice. Small food shop in reception useful when arriving late at night with salads, yogurt, drinks etc. Flight departure times on display and shuttle bus details too. I would stay here again and am guessing (hoping) it is cheaper than the other Scandic that I was wrongly dropped at first as that hotel looked a lot...More
